I was going to suggest chicken broth over the kibble, too. It just seems to work wonders here when Mandie won't eat. I don't disagree with feeding home cooking, though. Whatever works to get Mercy eating and healthy :) Welcome to YT and Mercy is too adorable!! |
Thanks for the info but I tried that and beef beef broth she would have nothing to do with the kibble at all no matter what I put on it she would drink the broth and leave the kibble. even tried letting it totaly soak it up then she would walk away. I have 4 bags of kibble here that she wont touch thats why I started to home cook and she has been eating well since then I know I have to get her some vitamins and doing that this weekend when I can get to the pet store I took her to the vet all is well with her vet says she seems very healthy and happy |
Welcome and so glad that she has found her forever home! You could try wetting the dry kibble with some of the cat food and some water just to get her eating. Start with 60% cat food & 40% kibble than 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 percent. Gradually putting less and less of the cat food within a couple weeks time. Until you are feeding her nothing but the dry kibble. |
I would recommend finding a nutritionist. If you home cook you'll need to know the details. And if you cook the meat, she will definitely need supplements. Thank you so much for adopting this girl! :) I'm so glad she found her furever home! |
