Purina Main Sponsor..... for the Westminster Dog Show...please tell me do you think the dogs being shown are eating that food?? it is not a high quality food imo why do they allow for that product to be a major sponsor..... I just dont think that sends a good message to the uneducated owner who buys that and other low quality brands of food am I way off base here on that thought??? I watched last night and saw all the beautiful terrier breeds!!! :) |
Its all about money! Purina needs publicity and I'm sure gets a nice sale boost from sponsoring the show and the show needs money! Expensive small healthy brands either are successful on their own or don't need enough means to become such a big sponsor. I'm sure there are other sponsors, but Purina is the biggest. |
It's all about the MONEY , Purina can't buy any better ADVERTISING !!!! as we all know this program is seen by millions. |
exactly i find this very disturbing and honestly before joining YT it never was a thought that entered my mind but now after being more educated on food well it bothers me. they have such high standards for the show dogs and then advertise crappy food such a bad thing imo. |
to me that was hilarious, and sad, I don't believe for a minute that all those champion dogs eat Purina Pro Plan, but, they need the revenue and to the un educated dog owner, the thought of their dog eating the same as a champion dog is attractive.. I heard that Blue Buffalo offer to sponsor the show but Purina paid twice what Blue offer.. REALLY sad.. hugs, |
Purina has more money then any of the others. Maybe they should have a bunch of the best dog foods and sponsor it as a group. Maybe each one sponsor a group |
I, too, noticed Purina was a sponser. You know they can get a ton of mileage and a gazillion dollars in revenue from that. It is all about the money. Speaking of the Westminster show, did anyone notice that the yorkies tail, while docked, was not trimmed. That hair hung as long as the rest of the coat. I swear, I read on a grooming site "no tail flags" and that the tail was supposed to be trimmed rather short. I actually liked the way it looked and thought about growing Hueys tail out to cover his "baboon butt" (from another thread about [how not to] clipping the sanitary area) :D |
