I also prefer a yorkie with a shorter snout, but like with all good things some breeders want to take things to an extreme and i now see yorkies with snouts that look almost inverted like a pekinese or that style of dog. To me that look is not what I would want and those yorkies that have that look also seem to have the buggy eyes and that is a sign of a yorkie that is not well bred. There are also breeder web sites where some of the images of the face have been photo shopped into that doll/apple face look because I guess they feel people must want yorkies with flat faces:( To me the teddy bear face is sort of a combination of a short snout and a round face. I also think that look can be achieved by grooming the dogs face into a angle or wedge type of cut which is I how I groom Lola. |
