Blonde yorkies?? The other thread made me think.. I am always looking at new yorkie pups online..I have done this for years because I love the breed and enjoy seeing how different and beautiful they all are,but this week I found an add from a woman who lives locally,so I actually know her dogs, but my first thought (without knowing who she was) was "MIX!".The pups are 11 days old and are being sold for 400€ (about $450,which is a high, normal price for a yorkshire terrier). http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps4230bf14.jpg http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/s...psebf3f3c9.jpg Source: http://www.segundamano.es/baleares/c...=7_s&st=a&c=47 The site she uses to sell her pups is a local one,so I phoned in and asked about the pups, and she swears up and down that she has NO idea why one of the pups is blonde. She said that she has had DHA testing done (and will show it to any potential buyers) because she has no idea how this has happened or why,and she also owns the parents and grandparents of the parents to this pup..so,what´s happened here?? I believe her because I have seen her dogs and how careful she is,but being as I´ve NEVER seen something like this for myself and I´m sure that no one here has EVER heard of a blonde yorkie,I dont know weather she´ll be able to sell this pup...who will believe it´s purebred??? Is this possible?? |
I don't know a lot but this is a new one on me too!! I'm sure someone with more knowledge than myself will be able to help you. Good luck! |

I´m going to admit that if I did go to see a litter and they were that colour,I wouldent want one.I´m not saying it may not be cute, but it´s not for me  |
There are "blonde" yorkies they are also knows as gold or golden yorkies. As far as I know they are purebred but they are not accepted into the standard since the golden color is considered a color fault. I don't know too much about them I'm sure others will post more information on them |
that was it golden...i couldnt remember what i knew i had read somewhere before. they are gorgeous lil babies. |

Here is some info on gold Yorkies Golddust Yorkshire Terrier information and pictures, Golddust Yorkie,*Golddust Yorkies |
Blazer's dad is blonde. Otherwise known as a "golden" Yorkie. Of the 6 pups in Blazer's litter three were brown and three were black but I think that all of them are super light right now. They're 8 months old and getting more "blonde" as they grow. :) |
I think the blonde one is super adorable. |

[QUOTE=msyorktown;4132436]I thought these gold dust, were another color of the Biewers, same with the Biro...Those are more brown I believe? I think you are right Jaqui. The gold dust biewers look much whiter than that. |
$450 for a purebred Yorkie from a reputable breeder in Spain? OMG! Guys, I'm moving to Spain. |
Hi All - All of you don't know me - but I have been coming here for years and will introduce myself in the new member sections. But anyway - as a quick answer - the blond yorkie is a very recessive gene - and you can register them - check out www.myyorkietreasure.com She does a good job explaining about parti's. I am not making any type of recommendation - but I have 4 yorkies that I have gotten from this breeder and I have been very pleased with their personalities, etc. Thanks and good luck in your decisions. I don't care what color they are - you can't go wrong with a yorkie! |
 Book me a ticket as well I'm coming with you! |

We have two types of price ranges here. You can get a purebred dog for cheaper if it´s not registered (no paperwork) which is what most people go with here.Pedigree (or ACK or what ever you call it in the US) is basiclly useless here unless you´re showing,so hundreds of dogs are sold without that to keep the prices down. Even the most reputable breeders now sell dogs with no paperwork (although they do give you the option to have it if you want it for a higher price). You get a health garantee, the first shots and of course deworming, but no paperwork. Now,if you want paperwork, expect to pay 450+€ for a puppy (you can pay up to 500€).I got my two yorkies (Bella & Milo) from a wonderful breeder. They have a 3 year health garantee, they had their first round of shots, they were dewormed and they came with a certifercate that enables to me to send in for their paperwork if I want it (wont be doing that..I dont see the point),and I paid 100€ each for them (just over $100). Believe me,to us,even that is expensive lol. |

Mia is not a "Gold Dust" nor was she "born blond" or advertised as a "rare" color. Mia was born black and tan and lost all her black. Her sire was AKC Yorkshire Terrier...the previous owner, a college student, and her family when she was growing up knew the sire's owner and got Mia from her without seeing the dam. We re-homed Mia when she was 17 months old. Mia was born 3/16/10. This photo was taken 11/25/12. Mia had been cut very short when we got her, but in bright light, you could see the black tips, and some black hairs intermingled with all the gold in the saddle. |
