Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!!!!!! I have been frantic, trying to find info on U-Verse so I can record the show....havent forund ANYTHING!!!! I have everyone in my family looking for me!!!! |
OMG!! I almost missed it. Thank you!! I'm new to YT and don't know what I'd do without it. This community is the best ever! |
Thank you so much! Now, I can set my recordings. I love watching this and I knew it had to be coming up soon..just didn't know when. Thanks again :) |
I absolutely love this show each year!!! The way they take the time on the TV show to talk about each dog, the breeds, show close-ups, tell little anecdotes, and the call name of the dog, about the handlers, owners, breeders, judges - it is all so well done. Other dogs shows are usually edited to death and not too much fun to watch. |
Great news. Now I can plan my week! LOL |
Bumping in case dog show lovers now on YT missed this. |
Thank you, Jeanie. I never miss Westminster. I love seeing all the groups, particularly the toys and terriers. What a great weekend and week this is for dog shows. The Yorkie Specialty was this weekend and then Westminster follows. Two years ago I spent the day with Gemy at the Yorkie Specialty, and that was such a special, thrilling day. Gail taught me all about what to look for and it was fascinating, particularly learning about movement. My dear friend Gail is so warm and caring, and she has so much knowledge that she iso willingly shares. Little did i know that one of the Yorkies that Gail asked me to photograph would turn out to be the sire of my little Katie who has completely stolen my heart. Betty Ann Durrer was showing BIS BISS Multi group winner, South Afr Am Can CH Rigair Marshal Gzada, Katie's sire and son of CH. Rigair"s Charming Melody (QT, baby Que Tee's mom), so I have lots of photos of him and also of Gemy"s magnificent Grand American Canadian CH. Rigair Sir Razzle Dazzle. I loved walking in the hotel, where inside and right outside I saw so many breeds who had come to the city for the big show. The New Yorker is dog friendly, and there were so many people there who had come in for Westminster. I am a lover of all dogs, big and small, and I'll never forget seeing so many wonderful dogs. I can't wait for tomorrow's show! "USA Network and CNBC will be home to The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by PurinaŽ for the 31st consecutive year. CNBC airs exclusive live coverage from Madison Square Garden on Monday, February 11, and USA Network airs exclusive live coverage on Tuesday, February 12. Schedule NIGHT 1: Monday, February 11 Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding Groups 8-11 p.m. (ET) live on CNBC NIGHT 2: Tuesday, February 12 Sporting, Working and Terrier Groups, Best In Show 8-11 p.m. (ET) live on USA Network Live Breed judging videos are available throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday on the Westminster Web site. These videos will be available to view after the show, as well. To our West Coast viewers: Please note that the West Coast telecast is delayed for your time zone. Since results are posted to our Web site as they occur live, if you want to enjoy the drama of the moment, please avoid the Westminster Web site after 5 p.m. Pacific Time on each evening." |
Oh, Lisa, that all sounds so exciting - getting to be at the hotel where a lot of the show dogs stay and getting to go around with Gail. I've long known of the New Yorker and the excitement there leading up to and during Westminster. Is that the NYC hotel who had a dog that lived on the premises for years and was the official greeter? Can't recall the breed or even if it was the New Yorker but remember reading about that dog. Was it a bulldog??? Anyway, your Yorkie Specialty show with gemy showing you the ropes sounds like a dream. Imagine going to Westminster with someone like that. It is one of the most exciting events of the year to me. I will probably be watching some of the breed competitions online tomorrow and Tuesday, too. I just can't wait. I hope sometime you will share some of those marvelous photos in an album or in a thread when you have the time. I would love to see Katie's dam and sire! It would be far easier if it wasn't for the photo size limits, etc., I know. But anyway, I had rather go to Westminster Dog Show than the Academy Awards! Far more interesting and exciting. :) |
Darn. Last night CNBC showed two showings of Closing Night and left out the Toys Group judging altogether. When they showed they were running two 3-hour setment shows of 2012, I thought it would be both nights! Sure am enjoying watching the streaming video of breed judging online today. Wish I knew when and where Yorkies will be judged. |
I was watching Westminster 2012 last night on TV. Teeka was sitting in my lap and I looked down to see her watching the dogs on the TV. She watched them for a long time. At one point, one was getting a treat. I said "look he is getting a treat!" Teeka stood up and looked at the dog, then looked at me and back at the TV! She evidently thought she was missing out! :yelrotflm:lol tears:yelrotflm |
I am looking forward to night's programme. We stayed up until 1 am and, of course, it was last year's show and they didn't show the toy group last night in either showing. I wish I could watch it streaming all day...a chance to go there in person would be so great. I will pacify myself by watching the next days and all the gorgeous dogs at Westminster ! Thanks to all who posted viewing times/schedules! |
LOL. How cute! She wanted in on that. Tibbe watches the dogs, especially when they are shown in full so he can see the full shape. He isn't so interested and will look away when they move in close unless it is a light dog and he can see the eyes. He loves TV. Especially shows with dogs and cats on them - oh, and any animal running. He really gets alert when they run. |
Looks like Ring 4 has Maltese up next and then Yorkshire Terriers! |
