I have only found one pile of poop & it was in a spare bedroom where Max never goes (so I thought) My question since he was sneaky @ that I wonder if he has possibly hiked on AT I dnt know @? I'm a worry-wart about having a bad smell in my house. I haven't found any puddles, still worried about him hiking & me not knowing

I believe there is an ultraviolet light you can buy at petsmart that you can use to look for tinkle spots. They sell it on the same shelf as the natures miracle enzymatic cleaner.

I have a Max too! ;) I bet he's cute like my maxiepoo! Your concerns are totally reasonable. Yorkies can be difficult to train. My Max has gone through so many phases in a year and half and I still don't trust him. BUT! I am a great detective (as I am sure you are) and I always notice a pee spot. If you haven't seen it, then I think you are good. If you haven't neutered, then you may think about it in order to allieviate their hormonal instinct to "mark" their territory. I am sure you know this already but crate training is the most effective way to potty train, according to many research studies. Good luck fellow Max mommy. :)

Thanks for the advise. Max has bn really great,since he is @ least 6 I think he was pretty much potty trained. LOL rainy days like today I wished he used pads inside :) I will try that light just so I can be sure. bin has become my new best friend! As I have a nose like a bin, I think I would smell an accident. That sense of smell also makes Max not smell as well as I would like him too, so I haven't got bin figured out yet.:D

My two boys will mark but usually the same place. I trained them on pee pee pads and I hang those outside and they go there. But once in awhile when I am gone they pee on the towel in their crate or on a rug I lay down. It is so frustrating. These boys are neutered, yet I don't trust them. I don't want to live in the pee palace either! They stay on the tile in the kitchen when I am gone. Good thing God created them cute or they would be wearing a belly band with "I mark" on it. Funny my daughter is dating a guy and his name is Mark!
