looking for johnny jump-up type carrier I'm probably dating myself but this is a carrier where the puppy's feet hang out of the leg holes and mom wears this carrier close to her like a toddler. I need something like this briefly when I am trying to deal with both dogs in and out of the car. |
They have something similar out now called a puppy purse. You can see examples here. Hope the link helps! |
1 Attachment(s) A lot of places sell them. Look for Front Style Dog Carriers. Here's one for you... http://handsnpaws.zoovy.com/results....+style+carrier Look at this picture from their site - the yorkie on the left made me think of the kid that can never get their picture taken without making a face. :p |
this is it. Thanks. This is what I was looking for. This site is awesome. |
I might be the only one, but does anyone else find these front style carriers strange???? i have seen people wear them with dogs in them and the poor people look ridiculous and are laughed at (but i guess it would help keep hands free huh? unlike the purse style?) |

Sue No, I am not upset about the comment "Rediculous". :) No need to apologize. |

I have a front pack for Wosie that lets me either put her all the way in the bag, or pop her head and front paws out. It has a short leash inside so that she can't jump out, and mesh on the sides for ventilation. I wanted it for the hands-free use, and found it at Petsmart. It is only for 10 pounds maximum, and at 4 pounds, Wosie can still curl up inside. At 10 pounds, no way. |
You can buy them at the Build a Bear for like $10 |
hands free I have really bad carpal tunnel and the hands free approach would really work for me. Both Dayzee and Bailey are way too little to jump into the van so two on a leash isn't working for me (in and out of the van initially). I only want it to get them safely into and out of my van when I'm alone. When husband is with me no problems; but I don't want to bring the puppies out one at a time--too much risk of forgetting one in the carrier in the car if the phone rings or something interrupts the process. |
