Search for pup Hi everyone. I'm new to this site. I really like it because there's so much I've learned from so many knowledgeable people and I admire the passion that everyone has for their yorkies. I don't have a yorkie yet so I was wondering if anyone can recommend any breeders (besides the YTCA) in the NJ area. I'm definitely willing to travel if I have to. I've been wanting to get a yorkie for a while now, so after a year of researching the breed, I finally feel like I'm ready...lol. |
Welcome to YT! I don't have a breeder referral, just wanted to welcome you aboard:) Zhoie is my first Yorkie and I have to say she is the light of my life. They steal your heart for sure. I can only advise be diligent in your search and buy from a reputable breeder, may save a lot of hurt and heartache. Happy puppy hunting, can't wait to see pictures:D |
Thank you for the warm welcome!! I'm so excited to start this whole journey of getting my little baby. I want to make sure I do everything right from the beginning. |
Hello and welcome...being owned by a yorkie, (in my case three) is the best...you will love it here. Take your time and buy your breeder first...when there is someone you are considering, post here, there are many knowledgable people here that can give you a review. Happy hunting and again welcome! |
First of all, welcome! And I agree with the others...find a good, reputable breeder. I didn't know of this site when I went out and found my Jack, but so glad that I stumbled upon it shortly after I brought him home. He was probably born in a puppy mill from what I can gather. We also have little Izzy, we got her from a breeder who is located in Michigan. I will never purchase a dog from a store/broker again. The differences between the two of them are quite remarkable. Jack is very shy, quiet, protective and doesn't give kisses - Izzy is very friendly, outgoing, playful and full of kisses! Such a difference. I absolutely love the breeder we got Izzy from. Good luck in your search! |
Why don't you want to look at breeders that are part of the YTCA? |
I'm thinking that she already knows to check out the YTCA because it is always mentioned when someone asks about breeders. My guess is she'd like first hand knowledge if specific breeders. :) Anyway, hi and welcome to YT! |
