First Awkward Moment
 
So I'm sitting on the couch watching "Gilmore Girls" and I feel something on my foot...Angelo was humping my foot!!!! I didnt think he would do that so soon. Most awkward feeling ever. I told him he could at least have bought me dinner first!!!

YIKES!!! Welcome to the humpin world of Yorkies. Sophie Kate (yes my female) used to hump my arm. I asked my Vet about it and she said that it was a sign of dominance and best thing was not to react but to just remove her from the "situation"


So now Sophie Kate "plays rough" with her Loofa Dog toy which has to take a time out when it get a little out of hand.

Yes... That is what I have read too....dominance! I had remy at a play group and a little guy tried to hump her...it wasn't pretty! Remy dealt with him very well on her own:eek:

Sophie Kate does the same thing, she want no one humpin on her, my sweet little Yorkie turns into a Grizzly Bear.

My matriarch, that assumed the title when Aija passed, is the only one of my females that also does this....she will "get happy" on my foot several times during the day....there is usually no one around but me, and it is no skin off my nose, so I let her do her thing and then we move on....but when my brother was here over Christmas, we were sitting around talking, the babies were milling all around the den, and Crickette backed onto my foot and did her thing....(she especially loves when I have my fuzzy slippers on!)....I am so used to this, I did not even notice, and didnt miss a beat in my conversation....my brother got this really strange look on his face and finally broke into my story I was telling, and asked, "Do you know what is going on with your foot and that dog?????". I then realized everything I do around here, is geared at making my babies comfortable and happy here at THEIR home, to the point of oblivion!!!

My female Brittany used to hump my DH's foot only when he had socks on. Didn't seem like dominance, but pleasure. She'd leave a little wet spot! :eek: :rolleyes:

My brother, who is very (spotlessly) clean and organized and "proper"....he couldnt get over the fact that I just sat there and let a dog hump on my foot....and I didnt even notice what was going on!!! But it is such a normal occurance here, with Crickette....and it is such a ridiculously simple, little thing....if it makes her happy, it makes me happy! One of these days, I will be wishing I had that precious little soul still humping on my foot!

my boys are almost 7 months and have yet to do that lol nor do my girls 5 and 3 years old. yes he could of pampered you first lol

I have three, none have ever humped me...just each other! Jersey tried it on her big sister...Raelle promptly put a stop to that, right quick too!!! Since Raelle is smaller that Jersey it was pretty funny to see...when I realized what was happening I cracked up! Raelle stalked off quite put off by what Jersey had tried....lmao!

Ha, that's funny, and I'm not trying to change the subject, but...
My Female Becca does that/intervenes when My Male Sneakers gets too rough with my puppy Ichabod. Not that Ickey doesn't disserve it, he's probably the most obnoxious pesky pup I've ever raised. But Becca will get between the males, take Sneakers by his Beard, and pull him away from Ickey. I just melt when I see that. What a darling little lady I've been blessed with.
