Feces looks like bunny poop STRANGE question I'm sure, but in the last few weeks my 4 yr. olds poo looks almost like bunny droppings. I tried giving her some pumpkin in her dry kibbles, but that didn't make a difference. I also add water to her dry food to ensure that she's getting enough liquids. Any thoughts on this? I give her California natural and I also add a tablespoon of canned food once daily.:rolleyes |
lola did this when she first came to me and i assume it was from crappy food or stress and in a couple of weeks it stopped happening. not sure maybe so mineral oil daily..... .5 cc is what the vet wanted keylo to have when she needed added moisture to poop. im sure other will chime in with more to add. good luck i hope you find a solution. |

Before I got Allie, she would bring her food in to the living room, one piece at a time and she would chew it. NOW, she just swollen s it whole. :( I tried feeding her first, and holding Allie in a different room, to see if she would chew her food. That did not work. I tried putting her food in the bathroom (away from the kitchen), that did not work either. She still will not chew it. I only mix canned food in, for breakfast. So, her other two meals the food Is dry. Guess she just has a mind of her own. Thx. For your input, I appreciate it. |

I googled & only found a site for people, but it says that pellet stool is associated w/constipation...I would think it's the same/similar for dogs. I taught mine the word 'chew'. I give them 1 kibble, said the word chew. If they chewed, I praised them. It didn't take long for them to pick it up. Have you tried those slow feed bowls? I read here on YT, some people put in a golf ball in the bowl. Not sure how that's going to help her chew or if the not chewing is making her constipated.:p Maybe crush up her kibble? Hope you'll find a solution! |
If she is not chewing she may have a dental issue. I add about one or two tablespoons of hot water to their dry food in the morning. They usually eat it before the water completely absorbs and I can hear crunch crunch crunch. I think they think they are getting special gravy or something. Silly pups. |
