Bed(s) - yes, several around the house. Lexie's always parked somewhere. Toy box - No. She's never played with toys. I know, weird. Closet -- oh yes. The little fashonista has space needs! :p :D |
I have to say yes, yes and yes. Not a whole closet but two shelves. No she doesn't sleep in her bed at night but will nap in it during the day. |
Inga - I don't think it's weird that she won't play with toys. My pom that I used to have never played with them either. I think just watching me and my antics were entertainment enough for her hehe |

We have beds & a toy box. We have a few of those cheap Walgreens beds that he just looovesss. He sleeps in my bed at night, or sometimes I put the dog bed ON my bed, lol, but he loves to curl up in one by the window. We have a wooden toy box with his name on it for his toys. It just keeps it looking nice and organized. And he can't reach in to grab the toys. So it keeps them exciting since they are not laying out all the time. He doesn't have his own closet or anything... but I do keep a 3-drawer storage thingy in my own closet where we keep extra harnesses, extra collars, chews, treats, brushes, shampoos, etc. He doesn't really have a lot of clothes. I just hang his coats up on the same rack as mine. |
Yes to all 3. Mine sleep in beds in their crates and also have a little sleigh bed in the living room they both use during the day. |
Yes to all 3. And KS and her buddy Mollie adore the dog bed! :) |
1. Bed...bought them many....they don't/wont use them because they want to be next to me...They will use them if the cats are trying to sleep in them. 2. Toy box...I believe ChaCha (?) on here makes the cutest toy box out of baskets for reasonable cost. I attempted to make one to match my shabby chic decor in my spare bedroom and their bow box...should have just ordered from her...Hers look much better quality and I would have paid much less. :( live n learn trying to DIY! 3. I am in the process of converting an armoire or entertainment center in to a closet just for the girls..I've started making baskets and I know how I want it....just can't find the right piece of furniture! :) they girls HAVE to have their own closet...they have so much stuff!!! |
Dog beds, Yes we have three, a snuggle sak and several blankets...yes they do use them! They love the Cloud 9, Raelle especially loves her donut bed made by a member on here, (topknot) and again Raelle loves her snuggle sak...my baby girl is just a bit spoiled. yes they have a toy box, bought at Winners They have their own chest of drawers...getting kind of full, might have to look into getting a closet for them! |
1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Eh, not a closet but 2 storage bins that hold everything: papers, tags, vet info, etc. she only wears jackets, hoodies and holiday outfits. |
1. Doggie Bed(s) - Yes...sort of. Mia had one she used all the time at her former home, which moved to our house with Mia, but she has not stepped foot in it since then...nor has Brody...ever. A couple kitties did, but I guess all the fun's worn out of it now. 2. Doggie Toy Box - Yes...sort of...two, in fact. Normal people would call toy box 1 a "love seat" and toy box 2 a "CA King water bed" for humans, but Brody knows better. He is very toy centric, and very neat with his toys. Should a toy be out of place...in the floor or 'wrong' toy box...and HE KNOWS where each toy belongs...he will fetch and carry them back to the 'right' toy box. Poor Mia...sometimes I sneak a toy to the other sofa so she can play with HER...ummm...'Brody's' toy...and as soon as he notices it is missing or sees it on the other sofa, he will run get it and bring it back into the 'real' toy box. I sometimes empty toy box 2 at bed time so there is room for me. He also knows his toys by name. 3. Doggie Closet/dresser/etc? - Of sorts...but they could really use a real one just for them. I was looking at getting a wardrobe, etc. just for them, but some stuff happened so it has to wait. Cool survey! Great idea! Love all the different answers. |
It's so cool to see how all our babies are spoiled so good!! Charlene - a sleigh bed? really? wow! I'm jealous of your pups hehe |
Yes to a dog bed no to a toy box I have a 7 beds in my house for Lola and she uses them all, plus a snuggle sack. beds are a must because it gives the Lola her own place when I go room to room, LOL I can't be lying down all the time. Lola prefers the donut style with the large plush sides that surround her, she likes leaning her chin or head on it. I have bought several at HomeGoods, TJMax or Marshals, also from Big Lots, Wallmart and Wallgreens. Never from a pet store to me those are rip off and not as nice as Homegoods. At night her favorite donut bed gets placed on our bed at the bottom between my husband and I, she starts out near us and then within about 10 min she goes to the end of the bed and climbs in and sleeps in it without moving all night long. I notice that since we started doing that she is much happier since she is near us but is protected in her own space. I also have two beds for her at my moms, when I would visit I could see Lola was pacing looking for a bed, as soon as I bought one she ran and just about dove in she was so happy, it was like she was saying, ohhh OK this is my place now. I took one of the beds to my sisters house, besides her yorkie she has a cat and one bed which is clearly the yorkie's, before Lola knew what happened the cat claimed the bed as hers, after my sister had been saying, "the cat would never sleep in a bed" so I went to Wallmart and got a few more cheap beds for my sister and mom. I bought a few cute storage boxes to use for toys, but after a week they had to come up, Lola is a toy crazed dog and not one would stay in the box, she would be upside down in the box, butt in the air getting every single toy out and all over the place, she would be huffing and puffing and panting cause she could not pace herself, so now I rotate a few different toys each day. I have 4 large rolling draws for her clothes, and part of a cupboard, but I do not have space for an amoire. |
1.Bed there are several throw pillow kind of beds around the den,but she shares them with the other 4 dogs. 2.Toy box,yes but again she shares 3.Closet yes, it started as a stack on the corner of my dresser, then I remembered that my daughters American girl doll closet (cradenza from my grandmother's house) was still here. It took her about a year to out grow that and now she has a wardrobe that belonged to the same grandmother,my sweet DH put 3 rods in it for me. There is a hat closet in it for her blankets and extra drawers for the brothers tshirts and all of the harnesses and leashes for everyone. |
