I figure if it is his fiancé and they have 6 kids under 8 they both must not be bright enough to get the concept of abstain or birth control so the odds of them getting the puppy is like a child are slim :p |
Thats exactly what I was thinking. The breeder is probably as close as the mall. Something like that just makes me sick. That poor baby. You know they are not going to watch close enough how those kids treat the little thing. If it lives through the slinging around and dropping and Lord knows what it will be a miracle. Maybe they will get tired of it and sell or give it to someone that will love and take care of it. So many babies are just thrown aside after Christmas. Stomach turning.... |
Poor puppy, he doesn't have a chance with that way of thinking. |
I'm hoping they get tired of the pup and turn it over to a rescue rather then it getting extremely sick or dying. |

I don't know how you feel about this idea...but, what if you put together a little "Congrats on your new puppy!" gift bag...get some cheap little toys, safe little treats (maybe the edible kind, like training treats so he gets a little nutrition treat), and then put in some Nutrical too...and whatever else might help the little one. If you're kind of close to the guy, a little gift wouldn't be weird. If you're not close to him...then ya kinda have to think about it, I suppose. |
yep a diaster waiting to happen, I can just see how that dog will be treated when it starts having potty accidents in the house, chances with that many kids they will not have much time to correctly house break the pup. I like Ann's idea very much. There are lots of cheap toys and stuff that you can find, put it together with in a gift bag and a note. Put it in a sealed envelop for his finance and address it from one yorkie lover to another. Make the note a cogratulations on your new yorkie, but include some puppy tips and your phone number, say yorkies are not like other dogs and that if she has any questions she can call you, something like us yorkie lovers have to stick together. However before writing the note do try to find out if she has had yorkies before, chances are not but you don't want to have egg on your face after finding out something like she grew up with yorkies all her life. Also you can find out the breeder by making up a story that you have a friend looking for one and your breeder does not have any would he mind sharing the contact info with you. If you come off as excited and wanting to see photos you will find out more and if need be able to help. Let's face it if he sees you as a yorkie know it all, if anything goes wrong he will be sure to hide it from you |

If he bought the pup for his fiance, I think it's pretty sweet. Hopefully, some of those 6 kids are hers, so she's a mom herself and will mother this little furbaby too! |
I would check and see how the baby is doing and I would tell him if he thinks he really does not want the resaponsibility of a little toy breed puppy around 6 kids, just let YOU know and you can take that baby.....just dont turn it into a pound or kick it to the curb.....maybe he will remember that and contact you when that baby is not housebroken within a week or two! |
God bless and protect that little Yorkie. |
