There's no real known origin...but became really popular in the 70s. XP |

The origin of this piercing is unknown. Many theories suggest that the piercing was used to secure the penis in some manner, rather than having a sexual or cultural purpose. In modern times, the Prince Albert piercing was popularized by Jim Ward in the early 1970s.[13] In West Hollywood, Ward met Doug Malloy and Fakir Musafar. Together, these men further developed the Prince Albert piercing. Malloy published a pamphlet in which he concocted fanciful histories of genital piercings in particular.[4] These apocryphal tales—which included the notion that Prince Albert invented the piercing that shares his name in order to tame the appearance of his large penis in tight trousers—are widely circulated as urban legend. No historical proof of their veracity has been located independent of Malloy's assertions.[14] Like many other male genital piercings, it has a history of practice in gay culture in the twentieth century and became known outside that culture at the same time that body piercing began to emerge in popular culture in the late 1970s. |

I know you think this is funny but there are new members reading these threads that do not understand your "sense of humor." I think you should set the record straight or ask for this thread to be deleted. |

I am not judging her and I think your comment about it is not a crime and how it is not my choice aimed at me. Geez, can't I even get something clarified without being stomped upon? |

Well, I am new to YT, and this thread has not made me decide to pierce my Muggsy's ears or not, so I wouldn't see a need to delete the thread. Of course -all i can think at the moment is that that Mugs puppy teeth have just about pierced me in a few places lately..... which is how I found YT. Lot's of helpful info on addressing that and a few more issues I didn't even know I had until I got here.:) I do agree that there are not enough choices for cool boys clothes out there IMO. Karen |
It is not a person's "choice" to abuse a dog. I don't believe the OP pierced her dog's ears. I do think it is in bad taste to post such a "joke" on YT where people come for advise about raising their Yorkie. |
Im sorry I thought things like beating a dog. not feeding it not getting medical care for it are animal abuse, Im sorry ear piercing is not animal abuse its a choice it may not be your choice but Im sorry that doesnt make it animal abuse. You are just one person on here with an opinion and opinions are like a**holes every bodys got one |
