I used the Puppia step in vest harness that DBlain linked to when Gracie was a puppy. It worked great for us as I was able to control her pulling very well with it. I never left it on her as she has a long coat. I have never cut her down. The first link looks like something comfortable for around the house but I still would not leave a puppy alone with anything on it in a crate or any where unattended. They are just too prone to chew, twist and turn and possibly get something caught around the neck. Once the pup is an adult and you know they are past that stage it is different of course.
That Puppia step in vest harness is very easy to get on. You wrap it around them and tighten the velcro then snap the top clip and yo are on your way. | you are right I would never leave the dog in any type of clothing or harness when not at home, not even a sweater.
I attached pictures of Lola in some of the harness dresses from the link I posted, as you can see they are very fashionable:D I know that lots of people put d rings on clothing but IMHO not all would be safe for going for a walk in. But these are made much stronger and Lola has walked miles in all of them with no problems. I think because I have so many that the velcro stays in good shape, if I was using the same one day in and day out it might get a bit worn, but that is the same with most things that get used constantly. |
