Apparently, this is a hot topic seeing that there is now 15 pages~! I was at the Vet's office this past Friday and I found out my little guy is more than what I posted when I started this topic. He's no 8.5, but 9.10. So he is a bit chubby but I didn't think he was that big~! |

My dogs actually loose weight in winter they eat and exercise less. |
Belle turned 2 on November 1st. She weighed 6.25 lbs in August when she had her 3 yr rabies vaccine. She eats a little less than a half cup of dry food everyday. When the weather is nice we walk a mile and a half daily. We also play fetch for at least an hour each day. (We even play fetch inside when weather is bad). She is in great shape, lean and muscular, and she is ALWAYS busy. When she was spayed at 7 months she weighed 5lbs. And I honestly can't see any real difference in size, she's just healthier. |
dickie is 5 lbs(1 year 3months) and Dillon is 6.5 lbs( one year today) |
Id love to donate, but i dont want the extras. We have learned a bunch from this site. we use it as a resource all the time. There is such a wealth of info here. it has saved us many of times. We would like to donate towards the server, and will, if we are told how we can do so without the extras. That being said.. ever watch dance moms? house wives, etc, etc? have to weed though that same stuff here. should be a "yorkie moms" tv show....that would get a new server for sure. There are about 20 people here who ruin it for everyone. you know who im talking about. This website is invaluable to those of us who need advice...no doubt. just wish the moderators would start moderating the old bitties who have nothing else to do but spend their entire day critiquing every word out of every new users mouth. Some of us have to go to work everyday, and do not have 24 hours a day to educate ourselves. We come here to seek advice, guidance, and information. Many of us are ignorant, new and uninformed. I would imagine we would need 10 times the server space were it not for the "regulars" who run most of us off. I also imagine that you would not need to ask, or hold raffles to earn money were it not for the these people. Think about it. Do you have any idea how many people have yorkies in their lives that dont join? I know 5 here in my neighborhood that dont even know this site exists; and ive been embarrassed to tell them about it, for fear they might say the wrong thing here and get scorned. Those of us who dont know everything, just get attacked if we use the wrong nomenclature or simply do not understand. Something needs to change around here. id love to donate, so send me a pm on how i can do so without becoming a part of the yorkietalk elite. appreciate so many here. So many loving people, that have given us so much wonderful advice. Let me know how i can help. This site has helped us too many times to recall. |
