Is it dog fur or dog hair... I am confussed... do yorkies have fur or hair?? My son raises rabbits and shows them, and they either have fur or wool, so I am trying to learn what type of long stuff that the yorkies have... Also, I noticed from pictures of all the yorkie babies that their long stuff can differ so much, like in the pic of Zoe and Lola sitting in the stroller, one has like red fur/hair and the other I would say is more blonde fur/hair... how cool is that! |
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but yorkies have hair. I believe this is because they don't shed and their hair continues to grow if not cut. Yorkie babies grow in a fuzzy fluffy hair that does come out when their adult hair comes in. That is when they start change to their adult colors. I am no expert but I think this may help answer your question. My Adie is a blond but was born black and brown like most other yorkies. |

The pic you mentioned is my yorkie ZoE and she is tan & black. Her friend, Lola, is a yorkie-pom mix with pale blonde hair. |
