I know, some people just use the name they think is cuter. Male Shih Tuz and female Yorkie = Shorkie puppies Male Yorkie and Female Shih Tuz = Yorkazoo puppies, I have only heard Yorkazoo used once. LOL by a lady with a darling Opps litter And that lady raised Shih Tuzs and she said it was pronounced SIT -SUE. She said "the daddy was a Yorkie, the mama is my sweet Shih Tuz. So she has three little Yorkasuzies." LOL |

I thought you all might like to know, also, that the official pronunciation of Shih Tzu, as stated publicly by their breed club, American Shih Tzu Club, is “Sheed-zoo.” http://americanshihtzuclub.org/ There is a detailed explanation at: How to Pronounce Shih Tzu | The True, Detailed Pronouncation, Meaning To hear it pronounced: http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-b...1.wav=shih+tzu Here is the ex-show Shih Tzu I get to puppy sit for, Sunny...she posed for me Christmas Day, along with my Yorkies, Brody and Mia, of course. :D Did I miss the photos of your Morkie? :p |
I think that way of saying Shih Tuz is truely like navillusc shared Sheed-zoo. or maybe Sheet- sue The lady in my story had a very, very, deep southern accent. I was telling the story with a bit of tongue and cheek. Yorkasuzie was her made up word. LOL thanks for making me smile. |
