When I bought my lil house a couple of years ago, it had the strangest set up in the basement. The washing machine drained into a 4ft bathtub (never seen a 4 ft tub before that either) that was on a raised platform & the tub had a hand-held shower in it. I wanted to have a stacked laundry on the mainfloor so I built a laundry closet in the hallway, and then when I went to finish the basement & make bedrooms for my kids down there & a family room, I dismantled the weird tub/laundry area that was down there.
Later, when a neighbour came over to see my progress on my (numerous) projects she explained the 4ft raised tub. The original owner/builder had a show poodle and that was the "doggie salon." The raised bath/shower was the bathing area, and the table/stand, I thought was for folding/stacking clothes, was the grooming area. Explains whey it had lots of lighting over it too....
I didn't have ZoE at that time I bought the house, so thought it was cool but didn't think much more of it. Sometimes now I regret destroying the "doggie salon". |
