pls.help my pooh eater So I'm so wounding is there anything. I can do to get my nasty little angel to stop eating pooh  |
Hi, I hear feeding pineapple can help. Try that :) |
I tried this but she wasn't interested in eating it mostly playing and chewing it. She has gotten a bit better about eating it though, now she eats it periodically ( when I'm not around). I have hope that its a phase and shell grow out of it soon.:xfingers::xfingers: |
I fed my Abby a little banana every day (still do) to give her the potassium she may have been lacking. It seemed to work, she didn't look like she was enjoying eating it but it was like a need she had, she was a very tiny skinny pup at the time... now I keep frozen discs of the banana in the freezer in case I don't have a fresh one. |
Well, the point of the pineapple is to help break down the protiens so the pup is getting the protiens absorbed...lack of protien, in turn, must mean this is why they want to eat their pooh. Perhaps a lack of anything (like potassium as stated above) is the issue. It can also just be a learned behavior from the mommie dog. If so, your pup will grow out of it. Perhaps try the banana and maybe some pro-biotics to help with digestion (maybe this will help absorb more of what is lacking). |
