Robbie, I also did the same thing last year when I lost my Raisin, for some of the same reasons as you. I immediately apologized but felt bad just the same. I could not save my little girl either and no one could have taken better care or been more cautious. It is hard some times to hold it all together and I’m sure no one here thinks any less of you, though probably much more knowing all you have been through. Sue |
This thread says a lot about who you are!!! BRAVO... I admire your honesty! |
How nice of you, but you were right too. Not all people can do as much for their pets as you do, but a LOT of people just don't use common sense. I'm sorry for you loss and you may have overstated your point, but a little wakeup call is sometimes needed. I have felt, myself, like jumping in from time to time, but it's like at the office - when in doubt, or too emotionally involoved - time out. Saved me many times. It's just our animals can't talk - we have to watch them and do what we can. So, don't beat yourself up too much - you are a very helpful person. |

Robbie...kudos to you for being a very "BIG" person. We're all human here...with God knows what tragedies going on behind the "banter'....not to mention that most of us here are women.!..so emotions are the natural landscape here. Worse would be apathy..so HUGS to you...and I hope you have a new furbaby to fuss and coddle and love very soon! Francie |
