strollers Does anyone use a stroller or a roller bag for their yorkie? I have 2 yorkies and a mixed yorkie we found out this past weekend it can be a little hard carrying three at one time. This might seem overly picky but when we walk into hotels and other public places we prefer to hold them. It always seems like people are trying to pet them or pick them up. you never know what could happen right? |
I love my stroller! Make sure you use the tie-in teather that attaches your furbaby to the stroller. People still like to grab them and pet them and pick them up even in their stroller. |
I have a stroller! My two yorkies love it at outdoor and indoor malls. People don't even know they are there, hats the best part. Good prices on amazon, $50.00. |
We have a stroller and use it often. I have 5 Yorkies the stroller allows some to walk and the rest to ride. My old guy can not walk as far as the young ones when he gets tired he rides. |

Here's a pic of ZoE in her stroller, in my backyard, when we first got it. And the second pic shows ZoE with her friend Lola (who belongs to my friend Donna, "DBlain" here on YT), so you can see it easily holds two pups! |
My bf laughed at me when I told him we need a stroller! I think one would be perfect. My oldest yorkie is 2 1/2 and has a pin in his leg from being broken. He walks with a limp and I feel so bad for him when we go on walks because he gets tired and wants to be carried (so of course one of us carries him) It would be nice to have something to put him in when he becomes like this. And also if one of the other two gets tired! I think my bfs main thing is the fact that are dogs would have a stroller. We live in a tiny tiny town is western Kansas so nobody around here has a stroller for their dog! That's ridiculous to them! But then again they don't have MY awesome fur babies! :) The stroller would be used when we travel with all 3. |
You could get a jogging type stroller or one that attaches to a bicycle... they have a little bit more of a 'sporting' look to them and are a bit roomier.... |
I must admit I want one too :) Here in Pinson while I live people will think I am nuts for pushing around dogs in a stroller. |
I have a stroller and love it for pet expos and other crowded dog events because Callie will beg me to pick her up the whole time and its gets a little heavy carrying 16 pounds for hours plus it holds all her stuff and the bags lol. She also has LP and after a while gets a bit uncomfortable. She tries to jump in the stroller as soon as she sees it set up. |
I'm am pretty set on getting one. I really couldn't care any less if people think I shouldn't be pushing around my dogs. They are like kids to me and I believe they should be pampered :) plus if we are in a crowded area I have somewhere safe to put them. NOW which one should I get. Ideally it needs to be big enough for 3 dogs. 10 lbs 4 lbs and 3lbs (he is just a puppy so might tac on a few lbs) |
Yeah... me too :) I will push my poodle and yorkie while I walk my pitbull with a smile :) It will also be nice for dog friendly places where you really dont want the babies touching anything! I've been looking at this one. 1 requirement for mine will be the mesh top even if I never use it! ![]() |
I confess the first time I saw a woman pushing a dog in a stroller I laughed. Then I got Macy and realized how nice a stroller can be. I zip up the mesh so people can't reach in and try to pet her. I don't use a stroller alot but when I do it's handy. |
We have a stroller (all terrain) and LOVE it. We use it when going to festivals and flea markets.... and also it really comes in handy at the campground. We take walks with the dogs in and out of the stroller..... I like long walks and the stroller allows us to do that without having to carry Yorkies!!! We have a Pet Gear ATV and all three fit in it. |
1 Attachment(s) We don't, but my mom does. She refuses to let her babies walk because of how dirty the ground is... LOL. It did come in handy when we vacationed in Virginia City, Nevada and it's just dirt, dirt, dirt everywhere! She's going to use it for the upcoming Pet Expo. She has a chihuahua and maltipoo. They allowed dogs in the casino area in Virginia City so we were having lunch and I put Zeus in there. He was NOT happy. And I left him in there and pushed the stroller to see how he would like it and he freaked. He didn't realize that I was pushing him, lol. He has a bit of separation anxiety. He's better now - we're still working on it. But until then, we couldn't get a stroller. :/ |

Strollers are great for when you are going to outdoor activities. It keeps their little feet from getting hot and they are much safer in a stroller. I honestly never would have considered buying a dog stroller. At one time I would have considered it silly but now I certainly understand their usefulness. Little dogs can easily be accidently stepped on or kicked and your right about not wanting just anyone to touch them. |

I have one for my girls and I love it, I can take them in a lot of places and they love it. |
I don't have a dog stroller, but I have a stroller for the grandkids and my 10 yr. old yorkie, used to love riding in it. If a child was in it, she rode in the basket underneath, otherwise she would ride in the seat with a blanket to cuddle in. I miss her so much! I am hoping Teeka will be a willing rider of the stroller! |
I'm looking up a reviews and stuff. I don't want to spend over 100.00 so I'm gonna be depending on your all opinions! :) |
When I go to Florida, I notice that having a stroller is more common there than it is here in Kentucky. I kind of like that idea in the way that no one can reach in and pet your dog. Kids aren't really sanitary and then again mine isn't good with kids very often. I sound so mean when kids ask me "can I pet your dog" and I say "no". Now and then I let them and then regret it. |
I love my stroller!! MY two small poodles and a foster maltese/poodles that is still here with us all ride in it together. As others have said, it is really nice for outdoor parades, etc. and I love the fact that I can tether mine all in where they are safe and secure! I too wondered if I would really use mine that much when I first got it, but I actually use it all of the time! |

lol... I saw this thread and wondered how long it would take for you to post:rolleyes::) Lisa is the one who made me want a stroller.... I don't use it much but it is sure nice when you need it. I have a fairly nice one and I would not buy too cheap.. you want some quality or it will not last very long. imo |
Stroller We have a stroller, LOVE it, use it I would say every week, at the malls, shopping or on the boardwalk anywhere you have lots of people and not lots of space for your dog. It's safer, cleaner and quicker to move around. Yea some people think your silly with the stroller, but I just say "he's a very little boy and gets stepped on easy" most people understand that part. I got Sprockets stroller at petsmart and it was not hugely expensive, has the zippered front and the really nice carry all underneath and would easy hold two or more dogs. His of course is blue but they also come in pink and I think cami, not sure on the last. But I would buy it again, it's like having the lg KB bag, I use it all the time. LOVE IT. |
