Yorkie ears... My Yorkie is close to 5 months now and her ears still aren't staying up straight, when should I start noticing the Change? |

well, if her ears are not standing by they might not ever stand but she could surprise you, who knows.... a lot of yorkies have flop ears, mine included, i think it is adorable.. |
If you want them to stand, you might have to tape them |
How long is the hair on her ears? If you haven't yet, try clipping the hair down about a 1/3 of the way front and back...this sometimes helps if (the hair can weigh them down and keep them from standing). |
My boy has ears that usually flop, too and I LOVE it! Blazer's hair is rather heavy so I started clipping it on his ears just to lighten the load a bit and now his ears usually stand mostly up with the tips flopped over. Sometimes they stand all the way up, sometimes they flop all of the way down. He is SUPER expressive with his ears. If you are dead set on trying to get your pups ears to stand erect try clipping the hair first and if that doesn't work try taping them. |
I have to trim the hair on remy ears or they will flop...even now |
Clyde's surprised me and ONE stood up around six months old, and the other flops over (I think it is very CUTE) I'm not familiar with taping ears, but trim the hair on the ears to help lighten the weight so they might be able to stand up? I'm not really sure. Her ears might never fully go up ... but like some other people said, you never really know! |
