| Lolli_lah | 12-21-2012 10:27 AM | It's possible the $18 is a new customer price. Did he/she mention anything about that? My groomer had recently gone out of business about 6 months ago or so out of nowhere so I had to find a new one. The one I had gone to offered $20 plus tip for a new customer, but it is $40 after that and it includes everything. Cut of your choice, anals if you want them, ears, nails, wash, blow dry, smelly good spray.
I agree that $18 is too cheap. They would barely break even on anything unless by some chance they have a very fast pace with quality work and get in like 50 dogs a day. Just saying :/ It sounds a great deal and if they do quality work that is great for them but I'd be skeptical. Sometimes they lower the price because they want more business and that does not always work out in their favor or your dogs. Quality is more important than price.
I've read news articles here and there over the years about various animal practices (groomers, vet, etc) going out of business for being careless about the animals. So always beware of a price range that is way low like that. Find out if this is a new customer specific price or not. Those are very common and make sense. |
