Bambi's new Brother.... Brought the new puppy home today...Bambi's really scared/not interested in the new puppy. The puppy chases after Bambi and bambi just runs/jumps away..=( did this happen to you guys who got a 2nd puppy? What should I do?? |
thats what happened to me too, I had Chloe first and then a month later I got Daisy. Chloe was so scared and very jealous at first but now they are the best of friends and cant be seperated. Yesterday when I took my little Daisy to the vet my husband said that the whole time that we were gone Chloe was running around the house looking everywhere for Daisy. Just give a little bit longer and they will be best friends. Congrats on the new baby, it is so much easier to have 2 yorkies then it is to have just 1. |

Awww, bringing back memories here! Its always normal for the "yorkie of the house" to be a little distant to a new brother or sis being introduced. Remember they know they've been the "main baby on the block" and when a new one is brought about, they tend to feel a little odd. Not knowing what this new thing is...or why mom and dad are so smitten with it! Over time, yorkies almost always do better in pairs or more, so you are gonna have 2 little stinkers who are going to team up really soon. It could take up to a few months, but they do love to have other yorkie companions. Best wishes, |
Bambi's new brother is a maltese. see my previous post I hope a different breed won't make too much of a difference. I hope i will make some progress this weekend. |
They will both eventually become friends. It will take up to a week until bambi is comfortable. |
Sigh...this morning, bambi wouldn't even eat, not even his favorite carrot treat. he looks so sad. I give him alot of attention. he slept with me on the bed too. He seems to be confused about the new puppy crying. don't know what i should do. =( |
