Just not herself Bella woke up this morning and she is just not herself...She has eaten and drank water, pooped and peed normally but she is a little off. Just laying around not much energy. Our house has been plagued by the flu for the last few days and am wondering if she may have caught it. Is that possible...My vet is not in until tomorrow and the closest Emergencey vet is a 2 hour drive away. If she is still like this in the morning I will take her to see our vet though. |
There is a dog flu but, no, dogs can't get the flu from humans. |
She may just be off because everyone is sick but dogs are not supposed to be able to catch the flu from humans. When I am sick Callie doesn't act right either. We all know our babies better then anyone so if she still seems off to you tomorrow I would definitely take her in. |
her tummy is also making noises...I wonder if I should give her some pepto bismal if that would help |
What is the weather like where youare? Mine get all "dialed down" a couple of notches when it is thundering out side, like today.......even when the barametric pressure begins to fall, they start to act differently! They are normal in every other way, but just laying around....occasionally will walk to glass back door and stare out, tail down. |
Hope she feels better |

My vet sends out emails on a regular basis about various topics, this week's was about cold & flu season and being vigiliant in washing your hands when sick before feeding your pets and to limit handling them when you are sick. Can you really give your dog or cat the flu? | News & Research Communications | Oregon State University |

Happy to report Miss Bella is feeling much better today. She is eating and playing and I am over joyed. I hate when our little babies are not feeling well. Thanks for all the support.:) |
