He's Home<3 just wanted to let everyone know i DID end up picking up Sirius today! He was very shy at first, still gave me a few licks on my hand, but other than that i was so sad he didnt love me right away i of course have a new shipment of questions to ask everyone.... so here goes... he threw up on the car ride. is this normal? my dad said it was because he was nervous and scared of me and just from the car's movement itself. he keeps doing this weird hacking thing...it happens everytime he drinks his water...is it gettin up his nose?? is it a health problem???? well i thought i had more questions, but i guess they will come to me once i post this...hes so freakin cute. its disgusting how cute he is. he was sooo good too- right when we got home, i put him down in his area in my room which is yorkie-fied- theres his crate, his food and water and his pee pads a few feet away from the crate. he sniffed around and then i said "siri, go potty!" and HE DID. :omg: I almost peed myself! he got over his intial shyness VERY quickly once i got him to my room, it was so weird- he just started jumping on me and licking my face and nibbling my ear and he even gave a teeeeeny little bark! so yah, basically, im in love. i will update you all with pics as soon as i can. he is sitting i my lap as i type- its so unreal! im so happy :rollingey :jump28ib: :happyboun |
Oh I'm so happy for you !!!Congratulations!!!!!!! |
Congrats Jackie!!! I've been looking for your posts all day!!! The hacking is not good. Make sure you ask the vet about it tomorrow at his appt. |
YAY Jackie! I am so happy for you! Yes, it is normal for him to throw up in the car! How sweet he is home, we have been thinking of you all day! Please let us see some pics and have a gret night loving your new baby! Good luck at the vet tomorrow! |
ty guys!! lol i been so anxious to get home and post lol. but i will def tell the vet about the hacking tomorrow. he is so freakin cute!! im like on the best high right now- this is amazing. :] |
Im so happy for you. Congratulations. Tell the vet about the honking noise he is making. Can't wait to see pics of Sirius. |
Gee, YorkieLover.... I'm sorry you don't like your new puppy.....LOLOLOL(Just Kidding!) I can't imagine anyone being more excited and more pleased than you sound like you are! I'm so glad you got him. I hope his cough is not serious, and he gets better soon. And, by the way, a LOT of puppies get car sick until they are used to the motion. I wouldn't worry about that. |
Oh Jackie ~ here you are! You and Sirius have been on my mind today and I'm happy to hear from you. I'am sure the breeder requested you take Sirius in to see your vet to maintain the contract, so you can ask your vet about your concerns over Sirius's health. I wish you all the best with him. |
Congrats on Mr. Sirius! :) Yes, they can throw up because of motion sickness. Be real gentle with him. And give him lots and lots of lovin'! Have fun with your new baby!!! |

GOOD LUCK at the vet - that does need attention but in the meantime have fun with your new puppy |
Congratulations Jackie!!! Something tells me you aren't going to get much sleep tonight!! LOL Heck, all weekend if this buzz keeps up!! Good luck at the vet tomorrow. And post pics!!! |
The happiness is bubbling over in your post. I'm so very happy for you and it is so nice to see someone so excited over getting a new puppy. :D Keep that little one warm and out of drafts and cold areas, especially since he is coughing. I hope it's nothing serious. Walk very carefully and did I say have a fun weekend? :D |
:::big sigh::: im still high i think...lol. i dont think it will ever wear off!! he is so amazing, its ridiculous. The only thing i hate is this moment right now... hes eaten, done his "business" and was falling asleep on my chest as we watched law and order...so i figured its bedtime for him. HE HATES HIS CRATE. when we first got hom i put him in it with the door open and let him sit there and chill to get him to like it and he even went in a few times to poke around, but now that hes confined, he is crying!! it is breaking my heart. but i know i cant be a softy and give in [ and dont anyone tell me to or i will!!! im training myself along with him here! ;] ]its just the cutest and saddest sound ever- i had to leave for a few seconds so i wouldnt be tempted. but he eventually stopped and pretty quickly too, but still its so hard! lol. thank you all for all your comments<3<3<3 im gonna do some YT searching and then go stare at him hehe. |

Jax - if you're really intent on not letting him sleep with you, don't do it now. I made that mistake and now I have a bed buddy for life! Stewie would cry and cry for two nights. On the third night my BF was like "jesus christ, just let him in already", so we let him in the bedroom w/ us but were gonna make him lay on the floor in his bed. Yeah right. That lasted about 4 mins and the next thing I knew, he was sleeping on my boyfriend like a scarf :p I am so happy for you! I can't imagine how excited you must be |
lol i know im trying to avoid him sleeping in the bed with as much as i can right now- i just dont wanna squish him or have him fall off my bed which is kinda high up for him considering hes liek an inch tall lol. im so excited its like nothing ive ever experienced before- having human kids better be this great! lol or im just havin yorkies... i wish my java didnt stink so i could go in the chat :( |
Congratulations on your new baby! I wouldn't be concerned at him getting sick in the car ride. Some babies just don't ride well and plus, he was upset from leaving his mom. Do you have nutrical for him? I'd give him a little daily just to make sure he doesn't get hypoglycemic. Also, when are you taking him to the vet? Ask the vet about the coughing thing when he drinks. Has he done it any more? Can't wait to see pics of this little guy! |
he hasnt done the coughing thing since i posted the first time, and hes drank since then, but i am still going to tell the vet about it. his appt is tomorrow morning :] i went to petsmart today to get the nutrical but they didnt have it, so i will ask my vet tomorrow for anywhere else i can get it. he seems very upbeat though- he wasnt lethargic or shaky [other thatn when we first got him] and he ate well, so im not too worried today about the hypo, just the coughing thingy is kinda irksome. i really hope his car sickness goes away- that was so scary. i thought he was like dying! but my dad calmed me down lol. thanks so much for your concern, you all are SIRIUSLY the best! :p i am off to stare at him now lol. <3<3<3 |
Jackie, you are too cute "going to stare at him" I LOVE it! Hav ea wonderful first night and let us know what the vet says tomorrow! Have a great weekend with the new love of your life! |
I am very happy for you  |
 What a flashback!! :) I remember every second of bringing Toto home!! I don't think I was that excited when I brought my human son home!! At least all Sirius did was throw up .... Toto peed on my lap! That was the sweetest little spot I had ever seen!! And, the really bad news, you never, ever get over it! We still just sit and stare at Toto sometimes!! It's amazing that the "shock & awe" never wears off!! :p Really looking forward to hearing all about your adventures with Sirius!! ;) |
if you don't want your pup sleeping with you (and there are a lot of good reasons for that), please dont make the same mistake I made....Edie was perfectly happy sleeping in her crate as long as it was in our bedroom. THen, my husband went out of town on business and I invited her up to the big bed for a "sleepover". SHE WOULD NOT GO BACK to the crate after that, and believe me, I tried. It is a lot easier to have a pup who sleeps in the crate if you are going to have her visit relatives now and then (if you are traveling, for instance). Just my 2 cents worth. I know you will enjoy the new puppy. Make sure you tell the vet about the cough. I think it could be significant that it happens after drinking water, so I would make sure to mention that. |
oh---Edie threw up on the way home too. It's probably just nerves. |
Congratulations!! Im on the same high right now. Its brilliant!! He's getting treated like a new born baby! I brought Tino home last night (UK time). He ended up in our room in his crate. He woke us up 3 times crying but all he wanted was a cuddle so I wrapped him in his blanket and rocked him a bit and off he went. I popped him back in his crate and that was that. One of the times he woke up, he had the hiccups and I dont think he knew what they were so I put him in his blanket and patted him lightly, then he was fine!! Im so proud of him and no accidents either.....yet. :D |

Congrads!!!!! Ain't love grand? :D Bet he will outgrow the throwing up - my Raven did it when he was little, but now he is a great traveler!!! |
Congrats on your new baby!!! It is soo exciting. Can't wait until we see more pictures! Good luck with crate training him.... I gave in with Homer and now he sleeps in the middle of my bed every night. Have fun!!! |
god, i suck @ being firm...he wimpered and wimpered and eventually wimpered his wat into my bed  i REALLLLLLY tried- lol i swear i did. but those cries!! id leave him there and hed just look @ me to sad like how can u do this to me? so i left him in for about 30 mins att a time, and let him up on the bed every 2 hours. lol i know, i know...but he was so great. he was the best teddy bear ever. :] as for the vet appt, she said he looked great- but his tummy was distended so she thinks he has worms, so i have some meds i have to give him. she said he just had a dewormer so it may be from that? but she wants to make sure? now i forget what she said, so i have to check my notes. lol- yes i took notes. im a NERD. but other than that, she said he was great. everyone wanted to hold him...i got WAY too much attention. i took him to see his daddy today and he is such a geek [like me] he loves him<3 ahh im so glad YT exists, or i think i may burst with all this excitement and no one to share it, or UNDERSTAND it, rather. :] |
That is sooo awesome that you got to bring him home!!! Can't wait to see lots of pics of him! :luvu: |
