Grooming....tipping Maybe a dumb question but do you tip your groomer? |
I do :) We love our groomer! |
Well it was our first time with Emily, she said Trixie did well. I peeked in a few times. I gave her $5...hope that was enough. |
I tip mine, a few bucks...last time it was $10 because I was really picky. Once however...when I was testing out groomers I did NOT tip. It took over 4 hours for a all over body shave and there was still touch up areas that I had to fix when I got home. Plus he charged me $40 and told me I had a "bad dog". Joey was just a puppy...so I know thats not the case at all. |
Yes I do |
I've never been to a groomer but I would. I mean, I tip my own hairstylist and I'm not a wiggle worm so I'd think a groomer deserves one, too lol |
I tip my groomer. She's very gentle with Buster and Maggie. She doesn't groom big dogs which is a plus, Maggie doesn't like big dogs. Busters first groom after each leg surgery, she sent me text messages because I was worried about him. It's a service like your hair or nail salon. I also give her an extra tip at Christmas, not the amount of a groom but a extra tip just the same. |

Is $75 about the average grooming price? |
I sure do, I appreciate my Groomer :) well worth it to me  |
I know how hyper mine is so I am sure getting him to hold still to shave his mohawk is not the world's easiest thing to do lol so I tip $10 for his $45 full groom and $8 for his $35 tidy wash and trim. |
I definitely tip my groomer -- usually 20%. She charges $45 for a full groom on Lexie. $75 seems kinda high, but I guess there's quite a range of prices for the service, just like hairdressers. |
I have been using the groomer for almost 10 yrs. I do tip every week when I take the girls in for their bath and brush outs. |
