Happy Christmas month Yorkie Talk family!!! I dont get to check in as much but wanted you all to know we miss you all and hope you have a wonderful holiday season!!!

I hope you have a Blessed Christmas as well!! I am having a hard time getting into the spirit this year. It is 62 degrees outside right now. This weather isn't being very Christmasy!! Give your furbabies hugs and kisses from my girls!!

Hello and Merry Christmas. It was 83 for a while here today so we're really not very Christmas like in our weather, I can tell you! Hopefully, we'll have a good cold snap and it will seem less like Spring and more like Santa time!

Will do and I hear ya! It's been especially warm here but I'm loving it!! Gave me a chance to decorate my house in warmth and You can see our Christmas lights from space! I went shopping for the fur kids today and bought them all kinds of things they don't need! I have already finished shopping for the family and kiddos so I decided they were next in line! Lol! Have a great Christmas!

Ya know, the temp doesn't bother me.... Black Friday got me into the mood!! Ha! I love Christmas! And it's so awesome that little Mack gets to celebrate his 2nd Christmas!!! Who knew??? So yeah, I'm psyched!! Have to be upbeat about something because my daughter is graduating this year and I get teary eyed every time I think about it!

Woohoo! Congrats on your daughter graduating and on little Mack celebrating his 2nd Christmas!!! Milestones both! Enjoy the weather!

I love December:D My sisters birthday was today, Joels birthday on the 6th and of course Christmas time.
But maybe we can trade weather for a while, you can have a 0 degree Chistmas and we can have a warm Christmas:)

Christmas For Me
 

I grew up in Western NY and moved to Houston when I was 36 (will be 65 January 16). I hated the long cold winters and all the snow. Having to go out every day in it, shovel it....all the "fun" stuff....

Now that I am retired and don't go out more than a couple times a week for short jaunts (having to use a walker now makes it hard to get in and out of my truck), I think I could tolerate the cold and snow. I soooo much miss the change of seasons. Generally the trees here go from green to brown leaves but the one across the street, for some reason, turned RED AND GOLD!!

I find it hard to get into Christmas also. This is my first Christmas not working retail in my whole adult life. We have a little tree up, a Santa by the entertainment center (see picture) and a few decorations. George and I don't usually exchange gifts anymore. I enjoy getting gifts for my son and daughter and of course, most of all my furkids.

We celebrate Christ's birth but that is the biggest part of our holiday now, as it SHOULD be. The gift part I believe is truly for the children. Maybe if I had grandkids it would be different.

I am curious to see if I feel differently this year now that I am not working. I would LOVE to bake but standing for long periods of time is difficult and painful and I haven't figured out how to bake sitting down...ROFL. I hope so.

I do wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and all of God's richest blessings in the coming year!!

Well I surely hope you can figure out a way to bake sitting down!! I too believe The true meaning of Christmas is Jesus... But the rest is just too much fun!! I hope you have a very merry Christmas!!!

I hope so too....find a lower table that you can use sitting down. Even a card table that is temporary may work

It's warm here in Alabama right now, but that's not unusual so I'm all ready to start getting ready. (Haven't done a darn thing yet, to be honest). It's my fave time of year for sure! :)

Went to Texas a couple of weeks ago. Indiana was 40 when we left, Texas was 80 when we arrived. Then it was 82 when we left Texas and arrived in 32 degree IN weather. I was ready to turn around and go back. I love Christmas also. We are starting a new tradition. Larry the Elf appeared this weekend, so I can't wait to see how the grands act.

Louise, you said a mouth full. We do forget the real Reason for the Season. We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Houston, and I loved the weather. Thanksgiving day my daughter, her husband and mine, had our dinner and my daughter and I spent the rest of the time at the pool. It was fabulous. But when you live in IN and not fond of cold weather, Houston weather was fabulous.

Do have a VERY MERRY CHRISTmas too. And yes may God bless you in the coming year.
