Coat question
 
My girl Snickers has curly hair is that "normal"? She's a pure bred and around 7ish (she was a rescue). I've never seen a p/b yorkie with lovely wavy/curly hair like hers.

I think it can be a mix of cotton and silky coat or something..? I'm no expert. I know there is a lady on YT with a Yorkie (Joel) that has a LOT of beautiful curls. Mandie's has some light curls/waves, too.

Our Max has wavey hair. I don't know much about his background as we adopted him @ 1 1/2 yrs from a lady who couldn't care for him any more. I was told that he is full yorkie, but I have no papers or background on his parents. He is beautiful! :animal-pa

I think the "cotton coat" tends to be curly and need a bit more conditioning. Gracie has silky hair but from what I have read here the cotton coats tend to curl.

Her coat is almost exactly like Joel's except, hers is quite silvery and she's very blonde on her head. I've never heard of the cotton coat, I'll have to research it. Thank you.

Ziva has silky fine curly hair. It never matts but it does "shed"(not like a dog , but when we comb her, some might be breakage because it is soo fine) At 3 years she is still quite black with silver running thru it (her dad was silvery, wavey- Her mom black,straight )Her head,ear and leg hair is straight , rich dark gold and prolific- altho fine.

My Zachary, a 10 month old Biewer Yorkie, has VERY curly hair. He always looks "messy" unless we keep him groomed very short. I like the curls though and his "casual windswept" look!!

I think she is beautiful and maybe a modified cotton coat? Not sure...someone else will be able to help figure it out though :thumbup:
