Warming crate questions???? I brought Honey a warming crate on black friday and was wondering does anyone else use it. If do what do you think about it? Does yoour furbaby like it?:thumbdown |
I have never heard of a warming crate but I have bought the dog heater pad like thing and put it under Callie's blankie in her crate in my room at bed time because I keep my room coldish. |
I have never heard of a warming crate. I use a twin size electric blanket for my two. They love sleeping on it. |
I brought it Friday from petsmart for Christmas. All it is is a crate that has a warming pad at the bottom. I didn't know a lot of people didn't know about this. |

I have a heated mattress pad (that is wonderful) that I use at night, but I'm scared to leave it on for ZoE while I'm out of the house. I know I'm probably just being paranoid, as she doesn't chew my stuff and is completely potty trained...but I always think...what if??? |
I haven't used it yet. It is one of my furbaby Christmas gifts so I will be using it Christmas day or maybe eve if i just cant wait lol. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it on when I'm not home either lol. I cant wait to use it so i can see if she likes it. |

What worries me, is that Harry likes to 'dig around' in his bed before he settles - and I'd be worried that he'd dig the wires. I daren't leave it on for him during the day.... Sally + Harry x |

Honey likes to dig some to get the spot she is going to lay in just right lol. Maybe I will put one of her favorite blankets on top of it |
Before you let her use it I would plug it in for half the day or so to make sure it doesn't get to hot. |
Ok I will try it when I get home Im at school and I had it mailed to my mom house. I will plug it in as soon as i get home...Im excited lol I hope Honey likes it |

I have never heard of a warming crate. Is the warming device removable? Is the cord in an area that the dog can't reach to chew? I know they sell special heating pads for dogs that are supposed to be chew proof but they run like about $75.00. Gracie loves the heated throw I have on the bed. It turns it's self off after 2 hours but I don't leave it on when I'm not home either. She doesn't chew it but I like to have all the electric things off or unplugged when I am not home. |
