Joey does love Ralphie after all! Joey had been an only child for 5 years, and last year a sweet little foster, Ralphie, came to live with us. Joey always got along with dogs he met as a puppy, but this was a grown dog that had several problems and while Joey wasn’t aggressive with him, he wasn’t all that friendly either. The other day, we took the boys to the vet for their well-baby checkups and after the vet checked out Joey, he started to go after Ralphie who was in his carrier on the floor. Joey leaped out of his carrier and jumped in Ralphie’s carrier and barked at the vet to leave Ralphie alone. I was just so shocked; normally, he would never get in the same carrier as Ralphie, does he like Ralphie after all, or just hate the vet? |
Both? LOL! Either way, it's cute! |
How funny! I know the feeling... It takes Couver a while to accept our foster dogs, but he lets you know when he does. He loves my current foster and follows him around. It's cute. |
:) awwwwww I would say a little of both |
Oh my goodness... I would never have expected that! Sounds like Joey's doing a bit of protecting, lol! Must have been that Halloween 'Dress' Ralphie was wearing...now Joey thinks Ralphie's deranged and needs help! (totally JK) |

It does sound like Joey has bonded at least some with Ralphie. I'd say he's made a big step forward as that really sounds like pack behavior, protecting a pack member. Who knows what can happen now that Joey has shown Ralphie this side of himself? It sounds like a step in the right direction! |
It is funny because that is how my two are. They dont lie by each other or do any of the other sweet things together you here some with multiples doing. But when you get them to a vet, a groomer or if there is any friction between one of our cats and one of them thats when you see the comoradity between them. The groomer told us one time her husband had to hold chachi up to the table to get Jewels to quit barking. I definitely think Joey loves Ralphie he just shows it by being protective of him |

Awww that is to cute! We have taken Sammy and Callie to the vet together a few times and although Sammy is my moms dog and doesn't live but sees Callie at least weekly he got really upset when they took Callie into the back for blood and started to cry at the door they took her from and that was when we where not sure they were bonding much. |
Aww, so sweet! I'm sure Joey does love Ralphie. My boys rarely snuggle, much to Teddy's disappointment. In fact, when they do, it usually means something is wrong with one of them. Then they comfort each other. |
That is so sweet. . . . I think it is, I hate my brother. No one else can pick on him but me! |
