Worried for my Boy :( :animal-paOk so im kinda worried for my boy, he is 1 year old.. He "looks" very skiny and i can feel hes bones alot, everybody tells he looks skiny and i think so too BUT i weighted him and he weights 5.12 that same hes been for the past 6 months.. So idk why he looks like this??? :( is it because hes growing?? He does is a lil taller but why the Bones??:animal-paP |
You could check with your vet to make sure he's normal for his body type. My Joel is the same way he's 7 1/2 lbs but he's taller and skinny looking, and if it wasn't for his afro hair you would think i'm starving him, lol he's also very boney. I can feel all the bones from his spine. But he eats alot so for him thats just his body type. Thats probably how your baby is:D |
Yeah i think thats how hes is because he did had longer hair and now that he had a haircut thats when people say hes skinny, but he does eat normal like always love his treats and all and i dewormed him every 3 months :) he acts normal sleeps and plays Normal so im pretty sure is nothing major lol |
:) Well, our Harry's 18lbs at just 2 years old, and yet when we shower him he looks like one of those adverts for "Please send £5 to help these poor animals in Third World Countries"..... :D Your Littlie will probably start filling out now, they do tend to once they've stopped 'growing'. Or maybe that's just the way he'll be - were his parents very slim? As long as he's been checked by your Vet, is happy and active and eating ok, I wouldn't worry :) Sally + Harry x |
The best way to find out is to ask your vet. My girls are just the opposite! The are little pigs! It could be just like people, some are naturally thinner. While others are a little fluffier around the edges like me! :p. |

If the ribs and spine are easily felt then he may be underweight. Every dog looks smaller after a hair cut but you need to be more concerned about his having a healthy weight for his frame. Your vet would be best to advise you about if he is at proper weight or not. If he eats well and is underweight you may have to start feeding him more. Some dogs burn the calories off more than other. |
