Cleaning Honey Ears Hello Everyone I want to start cleaning Honey ears on my own are there any other people that do this? If so can you'll tell me how you do it and what I need? Im nervous about doing it but I want to try it. |
I would love this info also, I can do anything I want to Guinness except put in the ear cleaning stuff!! And it worries me about him getting an ear infection since he takes two showers a day!! |
Ears should be clean and not need much maintenance. If your dog has an accumulation of stuff in the ears it could be from ear mites or a fungus infection. They both produce a brownish waxy substance. When bathing you should always avoid getting water in the ears as water in the ear helps to cause fungus infections. Always dry the inside of the ears with a cotton swab or just plain cotton after a bath. If you have any kind of a build up material in the ears you should take your dog to the vet and have it identified so it can be properly treated. |

My vet suggests cleaning them after every time they get wet and she showed me how to do it. I would ask your vet to show you how. |
