***What Does Your Yorkie Do During Thanksgiving Dinner?*** What do you do with your Yorkie during Thanksgiving Dinner while the family is at the table, scooting chairs in and out, dropping food on the floor, some even on purpose maybe, etc.? Is he the soul of well-disciplined manners  watching patiently from a ways off like a sweet little angel :angelyork or dancing and whining at everybody's feet until he finally gets full from handouts and then has a long tryptophan nap, burping a litte from time to time? :dribble::2pig: :dribble: |
Peanut is def waiting by my side or Dh's side for a drop of food... if he has no luck he will then search the floor for dropped crumbs!! What does Tibbe do? |
Jax lays at my feet, also waiting for food to drop ... lol. He doesn't really eat a whole lot from the dinner table though besides the turkey and stuff. Anything potato-like he won't touch  same with squash etc... |
Well idk, this is Waffles 1st Thanksgiving. :-) more than likely she will be laying at my feet like usual during meals. |
Tibbe is usually very good when anybody is over for regular dinner but for Holidays, hes allowed to do as he pleases so he's all over the place and gets his bites here and there. Thank goodness he doesn't whine or paw at your leg, he's just down there waiting. Now that he's on prescription food for a while longer, sadly his Turkey Day is not going to be near as much fun for all of us. I think eveybody enjoyed slipping Tibbs a bit of turkey or roll under the table and how happy it made him to get to share with us. My sister will put him right up in her lap sometimes!!! Do your Yorkies just crash that night so that you have to poke them to be sure they are okay? I can see he's breathing but I will shake Tibbe if he doesn't rouse from my calling him. He's just a goner that night of Thanksgiving. |

when we eat any meal the two little ones go in the kitchen behind the gate and angus will usually just lay down on his bed.. unfortunately my 3 are food aggressive with each other so they have to be seperated when food is involved... |
I saw this link on Twitter. See what you think. 15 Thanksgiving Foods You Can Feed Your Dog | i Love Dogs |

My two are usually under the table, but I don't usually give them scraps. I don't want to have any upset tummies, so I try to hold off. Sometimes my grandpa asks if he can give them tiny pieces of turkey. |
I have no idea what we're doing for Thanksgiving. I thought about boarding Luma for a day or two...she is soooo stressful to bring to my boyfriend's grandparent's house (They have a really mean rat terrier who she wants to love on, but Shula attacks her every five seconds) I'm actually totally stumped and stressed about the situation. There will be another new dog there too, my bf's brother's gf's dachshund rescue who is elderly and frail. Luma can't control herself around new people. She has potty accidents, barks, whines, runs around and jumps on everyone. We've tried everything...we usually end up having to leave her in a crate at my bf's dad's house while we all go next door to his grandparent's. |
Any advice anyone has would be really appreciated. Not meaning to hijack the thread, should I start my own? |
