What do you have to do to get your pups attention for the camera ? 3 Attachment(s) oscar is pretty easy & so is angus the airedale , i just make a few silly noises and they will look but my kaiah intensely dislikes the camera. I have a hard time even getting her to look at me, lol ! |
There are key words that always work to make him look and pop up his ears. (he puts his ears back as soon as you show him the camera) As long as you say "chicken" "cookies" or um... "boobies" (yes my boy is weird) he looks right into the camera and even does the yorkie head cock. :) |
I have to keep changing things up. Use a squeaky toy over the camera, have a little funny sounding whistle in my mouth, use a clicker type thing, hold a treat in my teeth(I know - ush!) or anything to make odd sounds right over the camera so they look there. |
That's what I do. I also have this high pitched sound I make in the back of my throat. Excellent for getting dogs to do the turn their head sideways in puzzlement look. Another trick is food. I learned that from Rudd Weatherwax. Lassie wasn't giving all those longing looks to Timmy, it was a bit of high value food off camera, lol. |
I have to make weird sounds but they still don't like to have their pics taken. |

Usually the only things that will get KS's attention is treats like celery. Sometimes she is in a picture taking mood and sometimes she is not. She usually does better taking pix outside. |
The weirdest thing I’ve ever done was to hold a piece of kibble in my teeth. I could have used human food, I don’t know why I used the kibble, they get that when they are posing, and I guess it was handy. Anyway, it works, but yuck, thank goodness I wasn't using canned food. :p Your pictures are adorable, they'd make a cute avatar! |
I can usually get mine to look at the camera and do a decent head tilt by saying a couple of words...for Bogie I say ball and for Miss piggy Jada it's green bean:D |

Mine HATE the camera,. I have tried so many things and none really ever work. The minute they see the camera they turn their heads. So getting Christmas pictures are going to be so fun. LOL |
