23 years and lost my job :( I am still in shock. After 23 years of dedicated service to such a large corporation, I have lost my job. At my age (53) the idea of having to look for work and make a career change is daunting. Trying to keep my mind off the whole thing and walking Wallee as much as possible. Sure hope I can figure out what the next step is in such a bad economy and still remain the mommy that my puppy deserves. |
I am so sorry to hear about your job loss. Lots of hugs |

Oh goodness, I'm so very sorry..... It's a very harsh world out there at the moment isn't it - all over the world :(. Please keep your chin up - one door closes etc - and we pray you have good news for us in the near future. Hugs from Sally + Harry :aimeeyork x |
So sorry... hope you find something better! |
So sorry about your job loss. Praying that something even more wonderful comes to you quickly. |
At after 23 years, you probably knew that company and its ways better than anybody. I'm sure sorry to hear of your job loss. But some employers now days really do appreciate the stability of an older, settled worker. My prayers are with you as you start looking and I hope you find a company that will realize what it is getting in you very, very soon. |
So sorry. But think of it as a new chapter in your life :). But I understand how scary it is. Just try to stay positive |
I'm so sorry that you lost your job , hopefully you will find a good one very soon. |
I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your job. That kind of thing has become all too common, sadly. Praying for you that this will just open a new and exciting road ahead! |
I'm so sorry for the loss of your job, I hope you find an even better one. |
We have been through that twice. The first time due to a plant shutting down, the second time due to the company selling off a plant. Both times, especially the second time, were very dark, depressing, worrisome times in my life. However, both have brought us to better places. The first time my husband ended up in a new job he enjoyed much more than the old one and with a wonderful company. The second time, although traumatic at the time, required us to move our family for a new job. I love the city and area of the country that we are in now so much, that I feel like I'm in heaven and so lucky to be here. Looking back, I feel so lucky that those job losses happened because it brought us to where we are now. I have talked to others that have gone through similar experiences and would say the same thing. I know it's hard, but try to stay positive because like the saying goes "when one door closes, another one opens". It may not be the door you are expecting either, but I now you will land on your feet and end up in a better place when this is over. |
