I just kind of freaked myself out. I google everything, and when google doesn't know then I just assume the world isn't ready for it yet lol
But I was just googling pictures of yorkies and I think I saw a pic of joey when he was a baby! My facebook is 100% private, as well as my instagram. Not that I have a ton of pics from when he was a baby-baby...but I have a few from when I went to visit. How do all those images get there? I hope our babies pictures aren't being taken and shown to millions!

People steal pics from all over, and then use them on their own sites as their own babies, puppies they have produced, etc....The only thing I can see that some people do, is they print the name of their kennel or their name right across the middle of the pic....where it cant be removed or photoshopped out....of course, it ruins the look of the pic!

If you have pictures of your babies on some server under the term you are searching for, Google will display those images when you search. It is true on not just your home computer but I used to search my pictures on Google from my work computer and they came up. I don't know if perhaps it was just because I had visited the original site with the pictures on the computer so the cookies with the title or description under it were there and the Google algorithm picked up on that or the search is just that powerful that the Google search will get the most hit-on results for the search term. But if I type in any term I've used to title or describe Tibbe or any photo in any of my pictures uploaded to any site, emailed or other photos, they might come up on Google search, especially under Google Images.

I have mine set to privet to but I figure that everything you post still is out there in the world wide web so always be careful what you post.

Wow never thought that I might have visited a site or something and that's where they came from. I also realize that when I post anything its online forever...just don't want anyone tracking down my little guy

Just make sure if you take pictures with your phone or ipad, you have the location settings turned off, this is called geotagging. I don't think many people know this, but it's easy to find your address if you have these location settings turned on. On a regular picture there is no information, except maybe what type of camera you used. The pictures themselves are harmless, but the process of geotagging allows people to know exactly which house on the block that adorable Yorkie lives. Here's more information on geotagging. Yeah, it's sad. With technology today...if it's put out there (private or not), somebody, somewhere knows how to get it.

Nothing on the web is private regardless of your security settings
I'm on instagram (calihills) fb (bchtwodesert kat) let's all add each other. One more way to keep in contact :-)
