getting a puppy from dd durning a layover Help.. or at least advise. My dd is going on vacation to Belize and has a 1 1/2 hour layover in Miami. On return she only had one day before she then flew here (I live in Miami) for Thanksgiving. I said to her.. why fly home just stay here and then have a one way ticket to home. Ok.. the problem is her puppy -- Zohie. She wanted to bring Zohie here for TG so if she did not go home to get her she could bring her and we could pick Zohie up durning her layover. Sound good? The layover is soo shore I am a bit worried if she can get off the flight .. make it out of the gate.. meet us ... go back through security to connect with her next flight. sigh I was wondering if there was a way we could meet her at her gate? or some other way to help this happen. Any ideas? |
You might try asking the airline to escort the dog to you. |

How long is the layover? We got Brody hand delivered and we met the courier in the baggage pickup. She handed him over, talked for a minute, and said (if my I remember correctly) she had a 30 minutes until her flight back so she had better hurry! Not sure if this helps or not! |
Hi the lay over is 1 1/2 hours. The gates are really a long walk and to walk to us and then go back through customs and walk back to her gate would be so close. I do not want to think of the drama if she misses her connecting flight. I called the airlines and they are not any help. I was told to buy a refundable ticket, use it to get to her gate, then refund the ticket. I not so sure about that. I am thinking of just buying (having dd pay for it) the cheapest ticket that I can and use that to get to the gate. What we do for our children! |
