Joel scared me I got out of bed to get some water and Joel was on his blankie right against the matress, I always see him before I get up so I dont step on him. Theres a gate at my door to keep him in(not that he'll leave, lol)and it was pitch dark and I didn't know Joel decided to get out of bed and sit RIGHT at the gate for me. So when I went over the gate.............I kinda kicked him:( and made him cry:eek:and it totally scared me bc I wasn't expecting him to be there. And I felt soooooooooooo bad! But he's okay now I gave him tons of cuddles and he's sleeping on my legs now.:) So now I learned if I leave I have to check the other side of the gate when I come back |
Aw, poor guy. I've totally done that before... You apologize to them and they kiss you like they are apologizing... I'm sure he knew you didn't do it on purpose :) |
It comes with the territory Yorkies are called shadow dogs They are always right next to you anywhere you go It doesn't matter what time it is whenever I go ANYWHERE in the house I feel a little wet nose touching the back of my ankles |
I think we've all done something similar. You know what, every time I do something like this I tell them I'm sorry. Seems funny thinking about it... do they really know what we're saying when we say I'm sorry??? They know we love them and I guess that's enough. :) |
We have all done it, in one way or another....it's certainly taught me to check on practically every movement...!!! :D Thing is, I actually think Harry LIKES being trodden on or knocked - he seems EVERSO happy about it all, he wags like a loon and jumps into my arms with the joy of it all.....!!! :D Strange boy! :) Sally + Harry x |

Don't feel bad. We have had accidents too. Extra loving and a nice treat always makes up for it. |

Aw poor Joel!! I hate when that happens, they are so small and can easily be hidden! I rolled over on Peanut one night, scared the crap outta both of us! |
The paneling and floors in my house are rather dark, and I have put Bells on ALL the Collars right from when each was a Pup, and they still wear them. I've stepped on my guys toes several times, and the learn to watch out and keep out of the way. As the rest of you, abundant hugs, kisses and petting, always provides forgiveness. Not that it wouldn't have been given anyway. ;) |
