not sure what going on this past few days Fancy been getting sick in the car. but she did this around the sametime we got her last year. but she stop doing it around dec and never really have done it. we did call the vet they want her to come in and check her out. but the lady on the phone think she might be getting car sickin. but I don't think it that but I don't want it be anything else either. I really don't want to give her meds everytime we go out. but she don't get sick right at first. we are in the car for 30 mins or longer before she get sick. we was almost home yesterday when she did it. just thought I would post something in here just to see what u guys think it could be. and thanks for reading this post and answeing it too. |
Does Fancy enjoy car rides, or is she nervous in the car? She may have motion sickness or she may be nervous. Does she ride in a car seat made for dogs? Often a car seat helps dogs overcome nervousness and stomach problems. Being able to see out the window or rest in a comfortable seat of their own is calming and reassuring. |
yes she love car ride. and yes we do have a carseat for dogs. she love to go when we tell her we are going bye bye she just heads for the door and ready to go. but we do put a coat or some clothes on her if it's to cold outside. . |
I seem to remember reading that a lot of puppies get car sick, but grow out of it. It has something to do with the development of the inner ear I think. If she's started again kind of out of the blue my 1st though would be an ear infection, or if she was grown when you got her and it seems to be seasonal maybe allergies since they screw up my ears too. |
she is over an year old. I hope nothing is wrong with my baby |
1 Attachment(s) Peanut had really bad anxiety in the car.. he would pant, try to go back and forth and just not enjoy the ride.. Then we got him a booster car seat. He loves car rides now! The one I have looks like this.. You can find them online, they are called Pet Gear Booster Car Seats I put it in the back seat in the middle, you can also put it in the front seat. The back works better for me- I can just leave it back there and don't have to move it around if I have someone else in my car. |
we do have a car seat for her. and she does love car ride. this happen when we first got her for a little while. but she hasn't done any of this for months. just for some reason this week she done it 2 time and we not to sure why. we have her's in the back behinde the driver and I am sitting back there with her or my aunt while my mom is doing the driving. not to often that she is back there by herself. |
this could be way out there, but the only time my one pup got sick was on a very hot day it was so hot that the air conditioner was having a hard time keeping the car cool. it's getting cooler out these days. are you putting the heat on in the car? i know if the heat is on a bit too high and i am a passenger in a car i can start to feel funky. if she is bundled up plus the car is warm, maybe that could make her feel unwell. maybe cracking the window for a little fresh air every once in awhile would help. |
