Cute and Unique Names? Hi all! So, I was thinking of names today and have a pretty good list for little boys, but almost nothing for girls. Right now it stands as the following: Pippin Romie (Rah-me) Broski (Brahski) Chachi Echo Auden Thisbe/Thizzy Isby Nala Whisper Rayn Storm Thunder Anyone have more to add? Thanks so much! |
There is a huge list on YT with both male and female names. Here is the link for one of the female lists http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/mis...es-female.html |
It looks like you have lots of cute names :) I love unique names. I named my male after the city that my husband is from - Vancouver, British Columbia. His name is Couver :) I think you should choose something that is special to you. |
no real ideas, but I got Yumi's name from a japanese horror movie, When I was just hoping for a yorkie eventually. I had never heard of it before and absolutely fell in love with it. I was like omg! Yumi (Yoo mee)the yorkie! It's perfect. I ended up getting Yuri before Yumi. I just thought Yuri sounded good with it. Maybe you could look at a baby name site some have lists of unique names. I love names that aren't too common...we have Raelle, pronounced Ray-elle...fiance named her, can't remember what song that is from...Orion..after the star constellation and Jersey, bc of her colouring..she is a Biewer and was black and white like the Jersey cow. |

Whatever you do... DO NOT make a deal with the husband if he buys you the puppy he gets to pick the name lol Guinness Stout and we are looking at add our little girl Stella Artois lol |
Unfortunately that advice is about 2 months too late GuinnessStout, wish I had it then. I wanted to name our new Yorkie Zara but because of "the deal" she is now Tali after a computer game :confuse2::questione: |

3 Attachment(s) I love the names Nala and Echo. My toy poodle i grew up with (from age 3 to 16) was named Nala, of course from the Lion king, My favorite Movie growing up :) I named my yorkie after a Japanese Desert (Mochi Ice cream) that me and my husband love :P. They are small round colorful balls of icecream covered in a flavored rice dough. You can find them in most asian markets. so gooooood! Thats my Mochi, my small little ball of sweetness :p |

I could give you a bunch of names, but I tend to steer towards Arabic female names. But hey they make great doggie names :) |
Got it! So, I was checking out everyone's replies when my sister shouted at me, "Guess what!". That's when it hit me. Guess. My new puppy shall be named Guess. What do you think? |

You have a great list going and we love unique names! :D |
Yes I guess I got lucky that he didn't name her something unflattering to call like Dick (lmao). Well at least with brisket you could call her brisk for short and it doesn't sound like a selection of meat :):) |

I named Dabny after watching 9 to 5. (Dabny Coleman) I thought it was a cute name and it was unique. I dropped the "e". Dabny was our dog who died last year, he was 20. Our new little baby was named Bailey after days of not having a name. It's the only thing the family could agree on. I had other ideas but I lost out by a vote of 2-1. I wanted to name him something that wasn't so common but I had a hard time coming up with something and he really needed a name. lol |

My ShihTzu is Charlie just because it seemed to fit. I got him first and only named him a couple of days later. There were quite a few names being tossed around between my daughter and I before we both agreed to Charlie. My Yorkie is "Littlest Mac" because our last name is MacDonald and he is the smallest in our family. The new and upcoming Biewer puppy will be Teddy, I think... because who doesn't love a teddybear!?!? :D |
Unique... maybe... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/4044881-post1.html |

Yea well...you know??!! LOL! I was close no? Charlene I just found that out...There is a dairy farm about 10min. from me that I pass everyday, I sometimes see the cows out grazing. Yesterday I had the opportunity to be a passenger instead of the driver...it was then that I noticed the name of the farm...something (cant remember the name) Holsteins! Oh well I'm not trying to re-name her 'Holstein' Gonna google Jersey cows to see what they look like....:) |
Oh just love name threads :) Female names: Suffina, Sari Sassy |
