My heart is broken Its been a while since I've been able to post on Yorkie Talk, you see, I was never much on posting, more on the quiet side but I loved to read all the comings and goings of this great yorkie community. I found Yorkietalk because of a little Yorkie girl I got back in 2005. My little girl Desi she is the light of my life and because of her I now have 2 other yorkies. Desi is 7 years old and for 7 years I have loved that little girl almost like I gave birth to her. Well, on July 23, (Monday) I let her out at 5:30 am like I've done every morning for years and that was the last time I saw her. There was a clap of thunder and she panic and ran under a bush, I was standing right next to her when she ran off. I wasn't too concerned since I have a fenced in yard, so I went over to bush, thinking I would pick her up and take her inside. To my horror, ground hogs had dug a hole under the fence and she escaped. And, this is how my nighmare began 3 month ago. Its only now that I can breathe a little more to be able to come on here and talk about it. It has been horrible to say the least. I don't know how or where else to look for Desi. |
Im so sorry :( Im assuming youve put up fliers, checked shelters, vets, i'd post in local paper(lost) Was she micro chipped? I think there is a number to call if they get lost. Again Im so sorry :( |
So sorry So sad and sorry your little girl is missing, I hope she will turn up. Hopefully someone has taken her in and is caring for her and just a bit slow in finding a way to find her real mommy. |
I am so sorry for you and your sweet baby. I hope you find each other. |
Oh no! I'm so sorry... praying that she finds her way back home... my heart is breaking knowing what you're going through, Hugs, Kathy |
I am so sorry!! I know that your heart hurts. Im sure that you have knocked on all of your neighbors doors,if you live in a neighborhood. |
Oh I am so sorry. |
Do you have an Iphone or Android phone? If so add the app PetRescuers and add your baby to the lost pet list. I have known more than one person use this site to find their furkids!! I know I check daily for missing animals in my area so I can kep my eyes open while driving. |
Don't give up. Keep looking. Keep her in the public eye. Posters, ads and the whole thing. If someone has her someone could spot her and turn them in. Keep checking the shelters. You cannot depend on shelter staff to notify you if she was found. I know it must be just heartbreaking to even think about it but she is out there some where. More than likely someone has picked her up. Many dogs have been found when someone else has seen the dog with the wrong person and reported it. |
Oh, I am so sorry Desi is missing. I am sure you have done alot already looking for her but like the others here have said put up flyers even in near by strip malls where many people who live close may see them. Praying she will be found. Hugs to you. |
I am so sorry, but don't give up hope! There is a story on here where a lady got her yorkies back after 18 months of searching for them. I would continue to post everywhere you can. Post fliers at your local vets, shelters, and pet stores. Put up ads in the pets and lost and found section on Craigslist. Talk to people in your area and put an ad in the newspaper. There are so many ways you can get the word out, just don't give up! |
I am so sorry. Don't give up. Was she microchipped? If so ask all the vets in the area if they could scan ay yorkies looking like her. Like others said keep her picture in the public eye. |
So sorry this happened. Prayers for her safe return. |
I am so sorry and I am keeping you and her in my prayers. |
I am so very sorry. Don't give up. Even post poster pics at the supermarkets around town. They usually have a board as you walk out of the store. Sending out positive thoughts and blessings to you? Hugs |
I am so sorry. I hope she comes home to you soon. Don't give up, and keep looking for your little girl! |
I'm so very sorry and I can just imagine what you are going through..(((HUGS))) |
i hope she finds her way home to you |
I'm so sorry to read that this happened and even if she weren't microchipped, you still may be surprised one day with a phone call if she were wearing an I. D. tag or vax tag or collar with phone # on it. Some dogs that don't go far & are taken in will eventually find their way out and return home on their own. Anything is possible with these little ones. |
Reading this breaks my heart for you. I'm so sorry. I do hope your baby finds her way home soon. |
Have there been any sightings at all? Anything to keep your spirits up? A friend of mine in PA lost one of her Min-Pins this summer and, even though he hasn't come home yet, they still get random calls about possible sightings. Just last night they recieved a call by someone who had found a dog that they thought matched Chopper's description. It wasn't him BUT it is keeping their hope alive. Their local cops keep telling them amazing stories of dogs being reunited with their owners after months and even YEARS! They still have hope and I hope that you do too. Best of luck, I really hope your baby comes home to you soon! |
My heart breaks for you....some animal had dug under my fence and I didnt see that tunnel as it was behind a bush....I heard their little bells going down the fence, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE!!!! I panicked, lowered my shoulder, and I went thru that wooden fence! I caught my babies, who were now absolutely terrified, and from that day to this, I walk every inch of my fence line every time we go out. Was your baby microchipped? Contact the microchip company if she was, and like has already been said, put up posters and fliers and continue to walk the neighborhood, calling her name...if she is in someones back yard, she may bark when she hears you...or whoever has her may rush her to you, thrilled they got her home! I would contact every school, every store, every vet, groomer, dog park, dog boarding kennel within 15 miles of you....ad in the papers....large "lost dog" poster in window of your car and drive all over your area....good luck with your search, never give up, keep looking....when you least expect it, maybe the phone will ring and you will have your baby back. |
This is so heartbreaking and I feel so bad for you and your precious baby. Like others have said, don't give up hope and keep searching. She is out there somewhere! I hope she is soon back in your arms. *HUG* |
Sending up prayers that you get your darling little baby back:hands: Make sure that every vet and groomer in your area has a flyer with her picture and your info on it! |
I'm so sorry...please don't give up, I'm sure someone out there has seen/had her...I hope she makes her way back to you very soon! |
I'm so so sorry, just feel horrible that this happened to you and your sweet Desi. Please keep the faith and keep looking...miracles do happen. Hugs to you both. Praying your baby will be returned home soon. |
