Kyra's Spay and Dental coming Up I am So Nervous So Kyra is now almost 11 months old and still holding her weight at 2lbs 8 0z. She has already had 1 heat and I don't want to risk her having another but I am so worried about my baby. She also has 2 canines that haven't fallen out. We will be getting the xray this week to make sure the growth plates are done growing and all her other health testing done. My vet keeps assuring me all will be fine but she is just so tiny and with needing teeth pulled also I am a nervous wreck. Please send prayers Kyras way for this. I will let you know as soon as the actual spay is scheduled. Thanks and God bless. |
you and Kyra have my prayers and good thoughts |
Sending prayers for little Kyra. I know you are nervous, you wouldn't be a good mommy if you weren't. |
I would be worried to, but i have a 3lb baby that has had several dentals and did fine... |
Good thoughts go out to you and Kyra hugs |
Kyra should do just fine. Just make sure you have the blood work before she goes under. If you can ask the Vet to use the Sevo Gas when she is under. My Luci, who I took in as a re-home. I had her spayed in July and her dental done, she weighed 2lbs 9oz. I was able to stay at the Vet in the Consultation room until the surgery was done and she was waking up. I also took her in on the day my Vet is open until 7pm, so that way she could stay at the Vet longer for monitoring, before I brought her that evening. My Luci did just fine that night at home. I never once had a problem with her the day's following either. You would have never known she had surgery. Luci is almost 5 yrs old. Prayers going out for your Kyra. |
Thank you everyone so much for the prayers. We have her on a vitamin supplement hoping she will put on a few ounces in the next couple of weeks. They will let me know on the blood work in a few days. So far she has been such a healthy little girl. The vet would really like to wait until she is 3 pounds but she said she is not sure now if she will ever get that big :( so it will all be in the vet and Gods hands. Thanks all for continued prayers, will keep you updated. |
