:animal-pa My name is Terrie and I am new to this site. A week and half ago my beautiful boy Rocco passed away from Acute Pancreatis and Kidney Failure. The vet believes that he may have been predisposed to this disease. I am so heart broken over his lose.

I have been reading about a breeder in Oakdale,CA called Loretta. The reports I have read break my heart. I purchased Rocco from her also. I am so upset that I can not see straight. At 7 months he came down with an abcess on his head and needed surgery. About two months ago he had another abcess that required medical attention and then we lost him.

I have done some research and found that Mr. Rick Willis in Oaklahoma is connected to Loretta Plusa or Plisa or whatever. There has to be something that we can do. Can anyone please give me some insite into this puppymill bitch and her accomplishes. My partner is on the hunt on what civil action we can do. We have even considered going to her house and picketing.

Those poor pups and dogs.

First,Welcome to YT. I am so very sorry for your loss. As for Loretta,yes I have read quite a few stories about her. I hope that being here with others that love yorkies. I hope that in time your heart will begin to heal. You will find alot of information in the library about yorkies.

Welcome to YorkieTalk. I am so sorry for your loss :( I don't know what legal rights you have, but we have all heard of Loretta... I hope you are able to do something to stop this lady from continuing breeding.

Hi Terrie, so sorry to about your loss. I was a recent victim of Loretta too. Everyone hear has heard about my story. My little zooey was sick when I got her. She had skin issues with earmite .infestations But to make a long story short, I got ripped off. You can read all my postings about her here. I've tried to shut her down, but she knows how to sneak around the law. I suggest you report her to madpuppymills.org and to every organization that's local to expose her. The more people that report her, the faster she can be shut down. I've only had my pup since may 2012 and still dealing with her skin issues. She's still on meds, and has seen a specialist. I may have cancelled my check on her, but I'm making up for it with my vet bills! She's a wicked woman that needs to pay for her horrible ways. So sorry again, if you need to talk, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I am so sorry for your loss of Rocco, Terrie. What a terrible ordeal. I sure hope that as you research, you find another baby to fill that void. I've learned that it truly is the best way to heal...to find another little soul to give your heart happiness.

I am deeply sorry for your loss and horribal experience.
Here on YT we try to be supportive and educate each other. All of us want to see Puppy Mills shut down and dishonest breeders out of business. Sadly you are a victim and so was your tiny little Yorkie. Poor Rocco, may he rest in Peace accross the Rainbow Bridge. Hugs for you. I am so glad you found YT, welcome.

Welcome to YT! I'm sad to hear about your pup. There's others here who might be able to help you put that lady out of business. I hope you can do it. She needs to be stopped, soon as possible, so no one else goes through this type of heartbreak :(

Welcome to YT. I wish you could have come here before you had to go through such heartbreak. Loretta seems to be quite famous and has the ability to change her name and move around at will. People who are brokers and puppy mill owners are one of the lowest forms of humanity on my list. I hope you can stay and learn about finding a reputable breeder. This site is a good resource.
