Does size matter? ;) I'm tryin to gauge how long Yoshi can hold his bladder because I was thinking of crating him for bedtime, but I obviously don't want to do it when he just can't help going to the bathroom. Problem is, he is 13 weeks old but already 5 pounds. Does that mean he can hold his bladder as much as a normal adult, or is bladder control correlated more closely with age? On a side note, how big would you guess he will get? He is huge from what I can gather in respect to most yorkies. I am worried I will be able to ride him to work a year from now, and if I need to have a saddle made, I need to order it early. |
LOL! Not sure on how long they can hold it. But as far as his size, look at it this way, you just have more Yorkie to love! I bet he gives great kisses!!!   |
Does size matter? ;) In yorkies? No. In other areas? Well, sweetie, you know the standard response, but we women all know that's a lie.......sssshhhhh  |
Logan was that big at 13 weeks also. He's starting to level out now at about 9 lbs (he's 7 months old). When he was 13 weeks he could not hold it all night most nights, but he would bark at about 2 or 3 in the morning and we would let him out and he'd go potty. He was able to hold it through the night most nights at about 4 months. |
I'm sure he can hold it for a few hours during the night. I've never crated, so maybe someone who has crating experience can give more help. I'd guess he's going to be about 10lbs. |

for a second so did i. and then my mouth, all on its own, formed the words "oh my god" |
Tinkerbell was 1.8 pounds at 9 weeks old and held it 6 hours. I would say by 2 lbs she would hold it a few more hours than that. He should be just fine through the night, although he may not think so ;) |

In this case I don't think size matters. But I only have the one to compare. Gus was able to hold his bladder all night (from 11pm - 7am) since the day I brought him home a year and a half ago. The very last thing I do before going to bed is let Gus out to do his biz. And he has never had an accident in his crate. |
I put Gidget in her crate when she was little but I always made sure to get up 2-3 times a night! Or if I heard her whining. She can hold it all night now but if I get up to go to the bathroom or something I let her out! Good luck on getting him trained! |
I would order the saddle now. lol!!!! hehehehe :D |

HAHAHAHA Ain't that the TRUTH.. And those poor suckers believe us :p :p :p Sorry I couldn't help it :D |
He's adorable! My new girl is 9 weeks and makes it through the night fine in her crate. No accidents. She's 1.5 pounds. |
