I know it was just kids but if you can identify them maybe they're know lil 'hooligans' and it's worth their parents knowing.

Then you have to gope the parents actually parent of course...

Nothing angers me more than a Liar or Thief, regardless of age.
I'm not the kind of person who would let an incident like that go.
I may have only been able to follow one of those kids, but...
that would have been a start.

As I have been reading comments on this I also started thinking about the number of kids that are suffering from personality disorders including rage with violent outbursts. So many kids are raised in situations that cause their emotional development to be stunted. Some of the traits they exhibit are things like hurting siblings and animals. They can be quite violent and as they get older the violence turns into a sadistic enjoyment of harming animals, other kids and themselves. There has been a big rise in cruelty to animals as well as kids harming other kids. Keep your pets protected.

In the year + that mine has been chipped,Ive noticed alot more alerts on email about dogs in my area that have gone missing. Used to go months without seeing a notice,now I will see one a week.

All the more reason to identify those (specially children) to their Parents and Authorities, regardless of what punitive actions may be taken. I'm not saying that every kid that "errs" like that should go to jail, BUT, those tendencies should be noted and monitored, by someone, BESIDES the victims.

Thank God you were there on time! Boy, it's scary these days.

I was trying to adopt a rescue Japanese Chin and the rescue wouldn't even consider us because we don't have a fenced in yard. I told her our dogs don't go out except on an enclosed porch with us out there and that 4 of 5 peepee pads and the other goes out on a leash. I also told her that dogs aren't safe in a fenced yard anymore.

Well we didn't get the Chin but got Zachary instead which pleases me to no end. I really need to write the jerk that said no and thank her for Zachary.

That is a very scary situation, thankfully you went out in time!. Hopefully your friend learned a valuable lesson, and if it were me, I would be calling the police and filing a report.

That is a dog-lovers nightmare! I am so glad your Harley is fine and with you. Today some people just don't care about others and their stuff and their pets. We must take extra caution and protect our little friends from these evil people.
