Mine can't have chicken because they itch, but if i was going to give them chicken jerky, it would be made by me. Can't trust anything commercial anymore, it seems:( There needs to be some kind of regulation on pet foods! Any time there is a recall, it's totally voluntary. |
Oh my goodness what is with all the Recall's lately? Very scary. |
Every day, it seems, another treat or food is recalled....I put this up because I thought I read where someone gets treats at Sams Club....I may have read it somewhere else, but I wanted to be sure if it WAS on here, they had the opportunity to read it. |
Made in China or Usa? |
An American maker of chicken jerky dog treats has recalled 2.5-pound packages of the product because it may be contaminated with salmonella bacteria that could cause illness.Kasel Associated Industries of Denver has voluntarily pulled its Nature’s Deli Chicken Jerky Dog Treats, which were distributed through 57 Sam’s Club stores in a dozen states. The recall is not related to ongoing concerns about chicken jerky pet treats made in China, which have not been recalled, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This is the second recall in as many weeks for Kasel, which last month removed from market packages of “bully treats” -- pet snacks made from dried bull penises -- because of salmonella contamination. Looks like it is an American Company!!!!!!! |
Never buy dog treats from a department store or pet store. Most of those products are made of multiple unhealthy ingredients. You can make your own treats or look for all natural treats, but check the ingredient list anyway. If there is an ingredient in it that you do not recognize don't buy it. |
Sad that there is another recall. Is there anything safe |
At least they are recalling it. China jerky has killed and they still don't recall |
Sad. I'm done feeding commercial treats for a while... If they get anything, it will be made by me. |
