Hi, I'm a new yorkie owner
 

It's nice to meet everyone! My name is Anna. I've always been an animal lover but got my first yorkie this past Sunday. His name is Dallas, and he is 4 months old.

I really feel like he was meant to be a part of our family. 8 years ago on May 12th (my daughter's birthday) my sister's dog had puppies in my house. We kept one of those puppies and named him Griffin. He grew up with us, and was a cherished member of our family. He died this year, on May 11th, one day before he turned 8 (he had a brain tumor, the vet thought). It was devastating for us but after 4 months we decided we were ready, and I found Dallas on Craigs List. He was also born on May 12th, the day after our Griffin died. We feel like Griffin sent him to take care of our family. (Corny, maybe, but it just seems so perfect!) I'm already totally in love with this little guy, and am having the best time getting to know him.

We also have Bianca, our maltese, who is 6. Dallas loves Bianca, but Bianca doesn't care for him at all yet (we're hoping that will improve in time).

I guess that's it. I look forward to getting to know everyone here!

I think your story of Dallas being sent by Griffin is awesome! I am sorry you lost Griffin, I know that is so hard. I can't wait to see pics of Dallas:) So glad you found YT welcome:)

Welcome! I got my 1st yorkie in march they're a real adventure... My minpin/chihuahua doesn't like her really, but it has gotten a lot better... She only licks him all over until he jumps up somewhere she can't reach him now instead of trying to pull his ears off ;) I think they'll get along fine once she's a little older and not so happy to see him. lol

Hi Anna Welcome to YT. I am mom to 2 Basset Hounds 3 years old named Cleo and Chloe, A Yorkie named Zach who is 2 1/2, Two Shih Tzus named Oliver who is going on 2 years old, and Basil who will be turning a year in November and one Shorkie name Zoe who is going on Three in November. I know you'll enjoy YT as much as I do.
