Flagged on Craigslist....Wow! Very Long
 

Oooook. So most of you know that I search Craigslist each day a few times a day in hopes my stolen Choppa will be there. So of course I inquire on babies of different ages because whomever has him wont know his true age.

I know I have been told over and over that not everyone wants to hear the truth but after some of the things I saw, I posted some of the things I didn't know when I got Choppa and just simple things to look for.
A lady put an add up wanting a 6 week old golden Yorkie, small build, short legs, compact boxy frame. I posted about them needing mom til 12 weeks and to be sure to have baby vetted immediately. Told about low blood sugar then of course invited them here just to browse some while they search for their baby.

A retired vet emailed and told me that I need to know what I'm talking about before I post what I think I know. Told me a Yorkie didn't need to be nursing until 12 weeks then all the reasons why. Thing is....I never said they should nurse til 12 weeks. :cool:

So last night my post is flagged off as well as someone who followed suit and just gave info on the fact there are no teacups. My post came from a place of helping. I mean I didn't know anything when I got Choppa and I said that

I see a Yorkie for sale just now, email them and well guess who answered me back.....that same retired vet selling Yorkies. So I searched my email she is the same person who sent me pics a couple weeks ago with a 4 pound female, 3 pound male who she said was a gorgeous breeding pair and sent me pics of their 3 puppies. I'm like daaang!!! Says puppies are 2 pounds, 12 weeks and will be 4 pounds grown. But on today's post she said she got this puppy a couple weeks ago and just don't have the time.

Sorry so long but first this person emails me because I came from my heart to share info some people just may not no. Just info. No selling and it gets flagged. Then retired vet whom I asked why not just post some of your knowledge as I love Yorkies and learning about them....you can help people to make informed purchases which is really all I was trying to do. Never posted a word except Yorkie for sale.


I got flagged for trying to help future Yorkie owners even avoid puppy mills. I never blasted anyone or talked negatively. Lol. Oh well. Just wanted to share. She didn't even recognize my email address I guess.

I posted but didn't address her ad. I didn't address anyone. Just a post about things I learned here and wishing everyone well in there search for their new baby. I have seen scathing replies to people and I would never do that. But I know that saying when people post a wanted they may fall for the first one. This vet replied to me. I didn't mind at all and told her if she saw something I said that was incorrect she should post it because knowledge is power. It was quite strange. Of all the things I said she only took issue with nursing til 12 weeks which I never said. But I did say I don't know everything but just wanted to share what I did know.
As I thought, she is a breeder and I stepped on her toes. But on the upside I got the sweetest reply about a lady that got a badly bred one then later got more and bred. She got a call to come see puppies and in walks the breeder!!! She asked the lady where on earth did you get that ugly thing from, she replied 'YOU, GET OUT YOU CANNOT BUY ONE OF MY PUPPIES'. Lol.

I don't even know how to flag. Lol. I am not mad at her was more like 'O NO SHE DIDN'T!'. Ha. Some people. Heck be a good breeder and you wouldn't feel compelled to let me have it. Oh and her puppy I $650 with no pictures. The boy doggy looked wire haired

I had nobody to call and tell. Nobody I know is into their fur babies like I am. They would wonder why I care. I just do.

I didn't even know you could post on craigslist....I think about Choppa all the time...I hope whoever has him is looking after him as you would....better that they get a case of conscience and returns him...

I wouldn't stop posting. I'm sure others got to read it before they took it down. You might try using sources when you give info (like YTCA, don't use the initials though. No one will know what they mean) I'm not sure but I don't think breeders are supposed to sell on Craigs list so you may be able to flag them if they try it.

It makes me sick when I hear of people using dogs to make a living.

Nope. They aren't. That's why you never see prices listed. I didn't even think of YTCA to refer, so I just told where I knew for sure they could get good info. I just figured she had a bad day and taking it out on a nameless faceless made her feel loads better. I didn't set out to post but seeing that want ad, I knew people were going to come out the woodwork promising this homemaker with no children that what they had was a teeny golden for sure. Oh the hair will turn gold and yeah it's 4 pounds at 6 weeks but it won't get any bigger.
In her email reply she said puppy is 2 pounds won't get any bigger than four. Hmmmm...you promise?:p

Can you give us the link to her posts so we can help flag her as she reposts?
