LOL this thread has taken all sorts of turns, thanks for the birthday wishes, we are back and I am not sure who is more exhausted Lola or I, the dock turned out to be more of a huge platform and about 8 ft wide so I did not trip on anything:D I am now having that wine Kazzy! Lola did great, I was so proud of her, it was a great day to go since it was not crowded at all, it took her a while to figure out how to get out of the pool via the ramp, she is used to steps, she kept swimming under the ramp probably looking for the steps. She did good on the diving, her best one was 5'6" and some of the newer big dogs that were there did not even get as far. She dove in the first time in both practice sessions which gave her at least 7 or 8 dives. She dove in on the first toss for both dives in the first heat, but i think was tiring out for the last so it took one or two tosses before she jumped, but that is when she got her best time. The crowd got a big kick out of her because the closest to do to her size had at least 50 lbs on her. The owner of the company said it is the first time he had a jumper show up with 5 outfit changes and in a stroller:D we were also the only one with a hairdryer and they were nice and let me plug it into to their sound system outlets. For the first round my friend (Patricia) disappeared and was to busy shopping the show to take Lola's pictures, but she finally came back for the second go round and did a video which I have yet to look at, they did not have a camera person, but some nice lady said she got some good shots and promised to email it to me (fingers crossed ). It was so much fun, but boy do I have a headache, I have never heard so many loud barking dogs under one roof. I believe we will go back on Sunday, maybe I will get better pictures then. I must go rest now, oh and we used all 5 towels I brought, thank you Gail for your tips. Oh and we were to pooped to hang our for the best dressed contest but they do have another one on Sunday. I didn't read through this thread buy vets like any Dr or other professional are on all sorts of mailing lists...such materials advertisements on pharamasuticals, behaviiral issues, animal welfare issues etc etc....

If a vet claimed no knowledge of pet store puppy issues or pup mills in general I'd have to ask what bubble they've been in. To further have one advise breeding I'm rude enought to ask what pup mill yhey debark etc for.

Wowee go Lola go. That was a great jump! I do so hope you get some pics. And I'm glad I had you take extra towels;) Isn't it a blast? Of sound, noise et al. So happy you gals had a good time, and everything went well. You will get used to the noise and stuff, and find your stride!


Now for certain go out Sunday, seeing as Lola had a good time; and you did too. So wish I had been there!

so far the videos suck they were to far away, I should have shown her the zoom. and the best I have is lola meeting a pig that someone owned as a pet and treats like a dog, it was very cute, and was on it's hind quarters begging for treats and was afraid of Lola, fun evening with the DH, I laid on the couch moaning while trying to get him to rub my feet and back, while Lola ran around squeaking those dang toys of her's I swear I was the one that dove 12 times today. dock diving is a tough sport:D

Oh Morgan you are so right, she is like the bunny that does not quit, driving home she was looking for her toys that I hid in trunk. I was going to add that I am going back on Sunday with Hope an 11 year old girl I mentor, so it will be me, a year and a half old dog and an 11 year old girl, I am hoping I survive. Ok must go to sleep now.
